Anyone know what's causing this?

Can anyone tell me what's going on here?? It can't be the nutes I'm feeding it 1/4 the recommended amount. And my light is easily about 2 1/2 feet above the plant. So I'm not sure what's going on... it's a fem plant could it be genetics?

It's in a 5gallon dwc... the plant is 26 days old and I'm feeding it maxi with hydrogaurd and recharge. This pic was yesterday.

Temperatures too high maybe.

I don't see anything wrong really... Might just be a mutation on a couple of leaves... Let em run for another week and see if anything changes... Discoloring or anything like that.

What is your grow space temp?

i did notice some weeeeird discoloring but nothing major, its literally a little tiiiny spot. also looks like a drop of nute water landed on it and dried out. ill post a pic of that once i get home. maybe that will help come up with an answer. my water temp is well below 75 for sure... i been dropping bottles of frozen water in there every few hours to keep it around 65-68.... i dont have anything to read the temp with yet but i can only guess that without the frozen bottles the temp is regularly around 70 something, its way to cold to be anything higher than that. with the bottles it probably drops to around 68 or so. im growing in a 4x4x12ft space. central a/c is running though that space as well at 72 degrees and 2 big fans. also have two small 6 inch fans at each end of my light blowing cool air around my light bulb. im using 400w MH for veg and 400w HPS for flower.

damn, thats what i thought... i hope not, theres like barely any heat in there and my light is about 2 1/2 ft above the plant.

It's not heat stress... If your temps are are a continuous 72 then that's not the issue.. Second, if you 400w is 2.5 feet away from the top of the plant, then it is not that either. I used a 400w blue enhanced MH during veg and currently use a 400w super HPS and my fixture is 22" above my plant and it's fine. So I'd say that's not the issue either

I'd say get a thermometer for the water res asap. Although I do not think this is the problem either. However, get a thermometer and a water chiller for your res.

My other question is what is your reservoirs pH at?

PH is at 5.5 and it's northern lights X big bud

Heat seems to be causing your curling.

Have you got a decent fan in there for air circulation?

yes two of them... i moved my light a few inches more and it seems to be doing the trick. the new growth does not show the same problem. thanks guys

Whats the humidity in the room?

And if you are using RO water? How much cal mag are you using?

That leaf edge curl IMHO only occurs when either humidity is off since plants transpire through leaves mainyl through the leaf edges they are cupping trying to absorb moisture from the air. Could be potential moisture stress issue from ambient temp/humidity. OR not enough magnesium and they are beginning to cup aka "leaf cupping or praying for mag" and since ou said you had some spots i would be more inclined to sway towards the magnesium solution.

So if you are using RO. How much cal mag are you adding? If you are using tap water than I would use 2-3 ml cal-mag and bump up your base nutrients and see how it goes in a few days (assuming temp and humidity are correct).

And make sure fan aint blowing directly on plant as it could be just drying out leaf and edges are cupping trying to contain the moisture so they dont dry up and turn brown and die on yah.

So is your room temp 72, or were you saying the central ac is blowing air into your room that's 72? I could turn off my ac in my room and my leaves will do that same thing.
