I'm 4 weeks from seed using coco and canna nutes. I'm thinking possible cal mag deficiency but would like conformation.
Anyone know what's up with this? Seems to be a deficiency (I've never had one before)

It appears you're right. I've read that it can be caused by overwatering and light too close so I've eased back on both to see if it bounces back.

It is not from light and you can not overwater coco, you are suppose to feed every watering and water at least everyday...Thank you!

I know this but the plant has only been transplanted from solo cup 8 days ago so maybe the roots haven't filled out properly yet? I didn't water yesterday until I got to the bottom of issue and its still very wet today. Last time I burned plant with heavy nutes so I have gone very light feed this time, maybe too light?

Sorry bud but he didn't say anything? I have been watering everyday just not yesterday (when I noticed the issue) then I came on here for advice. I thought that was best plan rather than screw it up more.

It does take time for the roots to fill out. What nutrients and what PPMs and PH are you feeding? Do you know the PPMs of your starting water source by any chance?

It does not matter you need whole medium in same EC value, you should water it with your EC solution before transplant but now, you do not want rooting the plant into lower EC medium than it was before. What is your water source? If you use tap what EC it comes out? How much EC makes your calmag and how much EC makes your base? You gonna probably need to lower calmag and up you base or just raise the base (your final feed EC?)

Ive recently learnt that you cant overwater following a transplant when the roots are growing out. Against logic, you should be watering more.
When you water coco the action of water moving down the substrate pulls oxygen in keeping the substrate from being 'waterlogged'. Therefore multiple waterings per day become beneficial. Similarly, as the substrate loses water content the pH swings.
Check you havent got salt buildup via runoff EC (super easy to have buildup when your not multifeeding to excess runoff), your pH going in, then bump up your EC going in when you know there isnt any other issues.

My water is soft and I have been @ 6.0 PH. I haven't used calmag yet as I use Canna A&B and with my tap water it barely needs any adjusting if any. I on my 5th straight run and never had an issue like this. Only thing different I have done is go easier on the nutes as Iast time I had some burn
