anyone local to sterling heights/troy area

looking for one or two knowledgable growers in the sterling heights/troy area that i can ask some newb ass questions about soil, setup, vegging, plant/clone selection, nuts, ect. kinda looking for a mentor so to speak. i believe i have some of the basics down already from the weeks and weeks searching on the net about growing. and theres 10 different ways to do things, which all contradicts each others way of doing things. lol the grow will be in the basement, where temps are always nice and cool. even in the dead of summer. no extreme heat issues that i need to worry about.

i am legal, and so should you, in the case your coming over to my place to look at what i have going, and what i can or need to improve on. i dont need any bs drama if you knwo what i mean.


the whole venting an air cooled hood thing, fan/filter setup, what cfm fan(s) ill need, and soil are my main hurdles. i read 10 different ways and each other one says its wrong. lol iirc, i read a 250cfm for a/c cooling, and a 450 cfm for the fan/filter combo.

i have no problem donating for time and help.

my electrician is installing (4) 20 amp breakers and lines today. im ordering my 4x4x7 tents (one for veg, one for flower), ordering my apollo 600w air cooled hoods w/switchable ballasts hps/mh x2. i have to stop there as im confused about fan ducting, fan choice, how to run ducting, seperate ducting for flower room (1 ducting/fan for a/c hood, seperate for fan/filter setup). picking up 2 oscillating fans for in tent, ph tester, temp/humidity gauges x2.

going for a DIY filter as well.

good for you for asking for help! this is a hell of a hard thing to learn, daunting at best starting off. if I didn't live 2 hrs away I'd help ya for free.

found a good soil recepie i think.
40% ffof
40% happy frog
20% perlite
no nuts for 4 weeks on clones

decent eltry level soil recepie. simple, easy to use and make. then would like to ass bat guano/worm casings as needed (but need to read up on that more before i dive in)

I wish i was a little closer too, i like helping out new growers. I'm downriver though.

Are you set on soil?

Your already ahead of the game, you have done your homework and from info you have provided it looks as though you will be fine. Your basic soil recipe is right on, have a friend using that and things look great. there are people in the know, I'll pm

i dont have the budget for hydro.

thank, i appreciate it. i figured this soil recepie would suffice in the beginning. and others like and use it as well. so it should work.

i am so sorry bro. my fience''s alcholic brother decided to stop by and try to enter my home, unwelcomed as usual. so i had to deal with this drunk ass for an hr before the cops finally decided to show up and controll the situation before i knocked his ass out. if ya cant handle your liquor, please dont drink. im glad they didnt arrest him, only took him to the drunk tank to sober up.

electrician installed (4) 20 amp breakers with outlets in my basement (grow room) 320.00
ordered (2) secret jardin proII 48x48x80 grow tents. after ALOT of reading jardin ranked highest out of all the other tents i was looking at 432.35 shipped
ordered (2) apollo 600w hps/mh digital ballast light system with a/c hood 30" x 25" x 7" w/6" ducts 408.16 shipped

still need my ducting, filter (ill DIY myself), 2 booster fans for circulation, 2 ocillating fans (lowes, 15.00), (1) 450cfm fan for filter + speed controller, temp/humidity sensor x2, ph tester, soil, pots, and clones from trusted people!!!

Yeah man. Not sure how trusted I am but I sat on my ass Waitin to hear from ya. If you want some advice? Don't jerk folks around by not communicating when they offered free help. Had clones/cuts/flowers/beans/edibles and a couple locals who where willin to be my extenctions to help you.

my bad, it was hard with an alcholic drunk trying to gain access into my home and waiting for the cops to show up. i have zero tollerance to stupid out of controll drunk people. not my idea of a fun evening. i do appreciate the time and knowledge you bring and by showing up willing to help me out yesterday.

I know for a fact how far HomeLess will go out of his way to help someone that needs help ,Demon Trich you need to set your priorities , you would have been better off to have just snuffed out your fiancées brother and kept your meeting , her brother will do nothing but cause you grief when you start growing .
