Anyone Seen This Before?

First time indoor grower here. My plant is in about week 5 of veg. Everything seems to be going well aside from some twisting leaves here and there, but today I noticed this strange little growth coming from the center of one of my larger fan leaves. I can't find anything like it in any other forums so I'm hoping maybe someone here has seen this before and can tell me what it is?

Last grow i had a leaf from within a leaf. Have seen some pics of a little bud within a leaf here on riu as well

I think you may have root maggots or something munching your roots.

Just out of curiosity what makes you think that?

Deformed leaves can indicate trouble in the root zone; I've personally experienced it with root maggots.

Ok thats good to know. I did just transplant into the 2 gallon pot yesterday and didn't notice any damage to the roots, and I havent noticed any pests around my tent but ill have to keep a closer eye on it from now on.

Yeah, I have one in the ground right now that when I pulled it out of the container there were root maggots all in it. I dosed it with pyrethrens but I'm not sure it killed the little turds. If only maggots weren't so gross...
