Anyone Using Dutch Leach trays??????

I am going to use a few dutch leach trays with 1 gallon nursery pots, filled with hydroton and a rubbermaid tote as a res.(something around a 25 or 30 gal)

The first question i have is... should i use a constant drip or set my pump on a timer? I plan on using Supernatural for my main nutes and a couple additives from around. Another question is....are my res's maybe too big? could i go smaller?

That's how I did my first setup top drip into the leach trays but I found that just flooding the tray was easier and the plants seemed to do better

Set the pump on a timer. An ART-DNE from C.A.P. is perfect for it. You running drain to waste?
