Are alot of fancy nutes necessary??

I just read some ones thread and he has all kinds of fancy nutes here is what he was using..

Nutri + Plus Strat 1-3-1
Nutri + Plus Grow A & B
Nutri + Plus Bloom A & B 6-0-3
Nutri + Plus Black 0-1-2
Nutri + Plus Gold 0-2-1
Liquid Bud .1-4-2
Folier Feed (Powder) 6-0-0
Head Masta
Atomic Wall
Seaweeds 0-0-5

I am only using Discount hydroponics flora series and seem to be doing really good I just wonder if I would do that much better using all this guys fancy stuff?

The answer is no, you dont need all that expensive stuff. There are a lot of things you can do to a plant and not kill it, some misread this to mean things are good for a plant. Just because it does not kill it does not make it good, stick with what works for you, bigger lights help as well

i like a silica additive but really thats about it.
im guessing your flora series has a veg product and a bloom product?

Dude, his answer was NOT there. That is an excellent post re: Don't OVER "P" your plants, but had nothing to do with cost of said nutes.
Anyway, I spent $12 on nutes for this years grow: $8 for M.G. generic and $4 for Schultz's "Bloom"

Dude, not arguing but where do you see HOW MUCH $$$ ARE THESE???

HIS question at the end there wonder if I would do better with this guys fancy stuff and that thread is the answer

I am glad you all think this way I have a total of $36.00 invested in my nutes and they are not even half used up yet.. Like I said I am using The discount hydroponics Flora series.. Flora grow, hard water Flora micro and the Flora bloom, and so far so good. Check out the link in the above post of mine and see my results.. Well I guess it's "my bad". I thought his questioning "fancy nutes" & his use of "discount hydroponic flora" was going to the economics of the situation. Apparently Super2200 was thinking in terms of economics too. So, since this is a question regarding chemistry and NOT money, I quietly & humbly back away......BB

i have seen ppl that only add charcoal in the mix when they make there soil and not use any thing and the plants come out amazing. i look at it like this in the wild the plant dont get nutes and grows perfect. it would be cool if some one did a soil sample of the soil were the plant grows naturally and see whats in it like all the products we have like i have smoked some stuff that had nothing done to it that will blow a way a clone of the same plant grown in hydro or soil and it tastes way beater

It was kinda a question about both budget & quality , If you guy's were to tell me that I had to spend more money on better nutes and it would really make a huge difference I would give it a try, but it makes sense to me that the plant is only going to use what it needs regardless of how much you pay for the stuff. PEACE

The only nutes you really need (especially if your a noob grower) is 1 good nute for veg, and 1 good nute for flowering.

I'm sure you can get stellar results from using a thousand and one different nutes, but that should be left to the really experienced people.

Personally I use a 3 part package of advanced nutrients and big bud powder and it works well enough for me. :blsmoke:

Like I said I am using a 3 part nute system right now> I guess my next nute I by will be one of the big bud products to add during the last few weeks..

it's all marketing. they are a business and all they care about is the bottom line. I run my own IT business so I know how it works. I promise you, buy the 2 nutes I just posted, they are everything you need.
