Are bongs really "all that"? Convert me...

So, I've never smoked from a bong. I've used a small water-bubbler pipe, non-bubbler pipes, a vaporizer... But never a fully fledged bong.

Is it really that good? What's the difference? Why should I invest in one?

I don't think a bong is that good. If you tried a decent vaporizer nothing will beat that in my opinion. If you have never tried one why don't you just make one? It takes about 5 minutes to make one from a coke bottle - and it's a great bong (i know they can be very advanced but i think that's just smoking porn). But a bong is very easy for many because you just make a biig mix and am ready to roll without having to do anything but hitting bowls. The high is still from combustion and is definitely not as good as the vaporizer. (unless you need those toxins from combustion - many people do)

Bong is only good for taking in large amounts of smoke at one time. You actually get higher smoking out of pipe or joint pound for pound .

not sure if this is actually true, but according to the show MANSWERS on SPIKE, vap gives @ 92% thc delivery, bong/pipe @ 78%, and joint/blunt @ 27%. the %'s apply to how much thc your strain has, some of it will be lost or dilluted due to oxygen intake. they didnt give a % on Medibles tho, but my guess is it would be pretty HIGH. just what i saw on tv so it could be wrong, but to me it makes pretty good sense.......peace!

Me and my best friend have very similar bongs, he lives in Florida though lol.
So we get on skype or some kind of video chat and toke away.

As for bongs I really like to spice up my bong water.
I got a little bottle of mint extract and put just a little into my bong water and add a few ice cubes into the top and bam!

Some day I gotta try a vape though for sure.

Bongs are killer. I grew up smoking bongs. They ain't for pansies, that's for sure. If you love the taste of the weed, go bongs all the way. Super high.

Interesting. I always figured that joints would be the highest - because when you're done, there's NOTHING green left. It's all burnt to ash, 100%.

Maybe if you continually inhaled and never took a break. A joint stays burning, whether you are hitting on it or not.

pretty much, if you smoke out of a bong, it cools the smoke so you can take HUGE hits and not hurt your lungs too much. like, hits you wouldnt be able to pull off of a blunt.

It's a nice change of pace, but not necessarily any better if you ask me. It's really all about preference or what you're feeling at the time. Sometimes I'm in the mood to vape, sometimes roll a blunt, rip a bong, or whatever I'm feeling

Bong for me, in fact the same original Graffix 2 footer I bought 20 years ago....If youre old enough you remember the original Graffix w/ the soup can wrapped in a fabric tape for the base. ......hehe the Green Monster lives on, and still pulling crazy hits.

As far as buzz, i have never used a vaporizer, I enjoy smoking....But a few bonghits of good weed (today is Violator Kush) and I get stoned a few more and Im junk.....I can smoke a joint of the same weed and not get as high.

Yes, a bong is definitely great THC delivery but it does taste a lot of tard. If you really like the taste of the bud there's no doubt that vaporizing is the way. For you guys who haven't tried it yet - go for it. It's healthier. You get the best up high ever. I bought a coulple of those cheap glass pibe vaporizers to test it, and it is the bomb. Now i have a Volcano which off course is much better (but it is waay overprized). This just gives me the best buzz and when i am programming the whole night - vaporizing is what keeps it going. A bong is great, but i really hate too see the black water from the bong - just keep wondering how my lungs look - i never changed the water in them yet ;O)) - i do use the bong though - just great and easy to load a quick bowl.

I just picked up a thick ass glass on glass bong and it's a nice change of pace from the weird shaped ceramic one I had before. It will be alot like your bubbler but with a bigger chamber and cooler smoke. Especially with ice and percs, you can hit that forever

Id get at least one decent bong.

Just grab some bud, fill it with water, fill the bowl with buds and smoke. Very easy to get very high quickly.

when your smoking said joint/blunt your are taking in lots of oxygen with your hit. i think the vape is tops because when you actually put fire to weed some thc is burned up or lost. who really knows.....but if your a smoker i would strongly suggest getting a bong, just get a smaller one first so you dont lose a lung! cough till you get off!!! peace!!

I like a bong but i think i like a nice hand pipe best of all... with a vape it seems like it takes longer to feel the high for some reason.. i like the pipes just bc you can take them anywhere.. i have had a couple bongs but i have to be in the mood for it.
