Are hermies all that bad?

Everybody talks about getting rid of them, but let's say you have a variety you love and you only get a hermie. If you let it till the end then you will get seeded buds, but I heard this only affects yield, not potency. So in theory, if I have a variety that I love, and don't/can't buy seeds anymore, then I would be getting seeds and buds, how is that so bad?

And yes, those seeds could produce more hermies, but again, not so bad when you have a variety that is hard to get and don't want to spend on buying new seeds.

If you don't mind snap, crackle and pop in your cones or the taste of a seed that you somehow missed, then sure. You can smoke it if you had to.

Its actually not a bad thing but too much and id be pissed. I dont get herms really now so experience and good conditions are one thing that make it stop and all weed has the potential and genetics too. Another thing that helps was the strains that i found grew well for me personally.

Commercially its bad but to a hobby grower its far from the end of the world. Genetics is far too complex to go much deeper for me and no one has found answers yet either.

I plant my herm seed, some are selfed some are crosses but i prefer straight selfed over herm crosses as pretty much identical to parent. In the wild this happens a lot and weed loves to self as much as cross and remain just as stable :-)
