Are LED lights good on their own or should I use another kind to assist it?

I'm about to start a grow with a 500w blackstar LED on 4 plants in a deep water culture setups, is this good or would some additional lights cause better results?

depends on what LED bulbs are in your light. just red and blue wont do well. 5band and up is good. Having ultraviolet (UV), inferred, bright orange and white LED bulbs will help in growing plant from seed to harvest.

Hey, thank you, that was exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. I checked and it has all of those except the bright orange.

I bet the blackstar will do great then, seed to harvest.
