Do you have a harvest goal? What size pots are you in? Are they feminized seeds?

The plants look healthy and happy. For indoor, I typically follow a simple rule: the pot size equals 1 gallon per month of grow. So if you flipped to flower now, you'd likely be pushing the size of the pot. However, I am experimenting right now with this. I'm intending on running in 3 gallon fabric pots on plants started 11-11-18 that got switched over today to a 12/12 photo period.

When I flip them do I give them a 2 week transition then 7 - 8 weeks flower or just around 8 weeks altogether

If I’m right 2 weeks stretching starts from 12/12 flip then flowering begins. Check the trichomes the closer to harvest you get and you’ll be good

With that much space I would go to at least five gallon pots. If not you will be watering those gurls practically everyday. I have just upgraded to #7 Airpots which are about 5.4gal to use in my 4x8 tent.
I just checked my photos and I transplanted from 1 gallon pots to these on Dec 23rd do you think they are good to flower or should I transplant again20190106_214130_HDR.jpg 20190106_214136_HDR.jpg

I say put in that second bulb (if you haven't already you should) and flip them. They look really healthy; nice color and no burned tips or deficiencies.

I completely agree given your space.

Convenient that you have such easy access to a flush sitting right there in a tub.

Put an elevator between the pot and tub if you don't have one already. Here is an example of something available for $3 at my local hydro shop: https://bit.ly/2CbNqqq

Allows for better drainage, air circulation, and temperature regulation.

Yes i built a 2x4 frame and used the same wire from the plants to put on top you can kinda see in this pic.

Flowering starts the minute you switch to flower not after stretch.
Sorry to break it to you bud but that's incorrect.

When you switch the plant to a 12/12 cycle it begins the transition period. It takes time for the plant to build up enough hormones to begin to flower.

The plant would be considered "flowering" once it starts to show flowers. That can be any where from 7-20+ days depending on the genetics and plant maturity.

Just like in nature you wouldn't say a plant was flowering until you see node stacking and flower formation.

The transition period is a known biological period of plant growth. Most nutrient companies mention it, as do many grow guides.

Trying to count the transition as part of the flower time also regularly confuses new growers because they think their plants have been flowering longer then yet really have. Then they harvest early and want to know why the yield sucks or their weed smells like grass.

Disagree with this. Breeders do not take some 'transition period into account when stating the average flowering time (although they always report best case scenarios). Neither do any of the growers I know. Yes there is a period of change that occurs but it is still flowering just not evident to us with big balls of pistils etc. It is way to arbitrary and a personal judgement to say yes this plant is now in flower because you happen to notice things are physically different. The one hard fact is the day you flip your lighting schedule, now you have begun flowering just as there will be a middle and an end. As far as nutrient companies most of that is built around you buying the flavor of the month additives. I do not change what I feed (Jacks 321) through the entire grow only the strength of my mix as the plant indicates.

I can provide data if you'd like.

I literally just spent 30min looking all over the web and not one source differed from my opinion on the start of flowering period. You could argue the the same bad information os on all the MANY, sites but that's a hard sell. I'm talking breeders, seed sellers, growers, how to grow web sites and who knows what else. I tried ti research other types of indoor growing but really only cannabis growers seemed to make a big deal about it.
