You're welcome. Just noticed the 3rd pic, looks better than good, looks very good :) Keep it up (green and healthy that is) and you should have some nice buds in a couple of months.

What's main cola? Will take some more pics if I know what to take pics of :)
All planted on 19th april. Varying development and height.

You took 2 pics of the main cola..... They look great! Watch for pests ...treat them before flower time bc you cant spray them with anything during flwr.

There are orange hairs but not at the very bottom. Can I not chop off the top and let the rest develop more :) The top is lovely, but worried it will spoil if left any longer.

they look great imo, but still not ready...
for me, i look to make sure all of the pistils have pulled back in to the buds, receded, the calyxes will swell nice and fat. calyxes are were the seeds would develop inside if you were growing seeded bud, which most of us do not, but it's the things that make up the buds.. caylxes stack and form the buds..
you'll see them get all nice and fat and plump, even more so then now..
alot of times buds will start to foxtail.. foxtail is basically when the calyxes start to stack, but instead of forming more bud, it's usually a lil whispy thing that looks kind of like a fox tail, that is usually on the top of buds, but can be any where..
tbc later.. brb..

Wellll, 2 out of 5 plants are short and stocky, darker in colour and look the most developed. The other 3 plants are tall and slim, will mostly white pistils. Am going away this weekend and leaving my treasures under the care of a neighbour :S
Was thinking I'd be retiring the 2 I photographed above to the loft for pre-harvest darkness.... now not sure :/
To chop the top, or not to chop?
To retire to the loft?
To let them all carry on?
These are tough decisions for me!
Thank you for the advice everyone :)

Will take a photo of all 5 together later.

one thing I have learned is most new growers chop too early.. I did it my first grow... the best thing I ever did was get a jeweler loop so I could check the trichomes. Once I started using that it really educated me on how long a plant should flower to get the best results. Plus it is amazing how much buds will fatten up the last few weeks of flowering.

Harvest what you want when you want to. Most sativas have to be harvested this way sometimes it takes 2 weeks to finish a harvest, from main cola to popcorn buds.
