Arizona Cannabis Society Raided by PHOENIX Police - Phoenix and El Mirage locations

As many of you may have heard, both AZCS Collective locations have been raided.

Here is a photo that was snagged off the Cameras before they walked those out the door as well:

The only news I know for sure is they are claiming that we are selling cannabis to ANYBODY, even non-cardholders. I hope that made most of you LAUGH OUT LOUD, because anyone who knows anything about AZCS most likely knows about our membership agreements, and how we can ONLY assist patients who are not growing.

Currently all staff, with the exception of Bill Hayes have been released. Everything from both location is currently being walked out. If you want to see the video's , a dedicated patient has been recording as much as he could. Friend AZCS West Phoenix on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/#!/azcswest

From there you can view the videos that account has been tagged in.

Obviously if this was anything more than a SMASH AND GRAB from Phoenix PD, anything OTHER than a flat out attempt to squash us, and no doubt bankrupt us, a MONTH before dispensary applications are accepted.

I will try to post more info as it is known.

I can say this... if we survive this it will be nothing short of a miracle. And only with the help of the community.

The monetary value of the raid likely is higher in this case than a raid of said persons....?

My thoughts....

The only person being held is the same person who filed a lawsuit on behalf of ALL AZ MMJ Patients... (See any CORRELATIONS?)
This is the recourse of a class action suit in our very eyes... Don't be surprised when OTHER bigger but likely smaller folks get raided next...
Set an example and the rest will line up accordingly!! Fucked up but true!!

Like I have preached from DAY 1 compliance, compliance, compliance... (not saying azcs did wrong but this is a good reason to fall in line)HA

this is a direct result of alan sobol, the 25 mile rule lawsuit and the upcoming dispensary application window. i have also heard that the phoenix pd plan on busting 15 collectives in the next 48 hrs not gonna be a very happy 420. sounds like they are giving patients something to actually stand for on 420...

I support AZCS and there efforts to help patients by attempting to repeal the "25 Mile Rule".
But not for 1 second will I sacrifice my MMJ card to participate in any type of illegal transactions not authorized by AzDHS or or A.R.S. Title 36 Chapter 28.1..
Not saying AZCS is doing wrong...

If "they" watch you long enough they will always find a case from the smallest piece of evidence. Sometimes totally unrelated to the investigation to begin with.
They are the folks with ALL the time, money, and resources.. To believe you can out smart Johny Law would be an out right mistake. Quite foolish and cocky if you ask me.

Compliance my friends! It may seem hard to do, but look at the alternatives. 2 years ago growing 1 marijuana plant under Arizona Revised Statues was a felony; with a MMJ card you are authorized to grow 12.. Don't be greedy!!!!! Stay in compliance..

Unfortunately rollitup has/was and will be a place for folks NOT in compliance to talk about their wrong doings. Many convictions have been made from this VARY website too. In most cases you would believe you are protected by the constitution under "freedom of speech". Then you post a picture. BAMMM "They" have a tally sheet going now. BAM you post another picture. TALLY. TALLY. Freedom of speech does not protect you when you are talking about crimes you are committing. One would believe you are protected by self incrimination laws.. WRONG. By preponderance of evidence any law enforcement agency can receive a warrant to search your property. Not only a warranty but a conviction as well. Know your rights. Let the Police do there job. That is what they are paid to do. Would you let your family go hungry? NO They have to eat too.. The old saying, "Keep your enemies close but your friends even closer". In every way expect your actions to be voiced through the "Grape Vine". Everyone talks. Even friends. And don't be surprised to know even a law enforcement officer has read my post that you have read.. HA

It is a damn shame to see the resources being wasted going after MMJ organizations and patients. Why?

The war on Drugs is like a unyielding plant; the fruit of its harvest will determine its future.

It is a damn shame...

All I can say is I am damn proud of those who have stood behind us....

There are patients/growers who stayed up most of the night to cut clones for us, not even knowing if we are going to open again or not.

The extensive support from the community has been humbling, and as long as this company still exists we will do everything in our power to get meds to those in need.

We can talk legalities and semantics all we want, you say screw dispensaries, go only caregivers! And i show you Oregon, a FAILED SYSTEM. with NO legal way of obtaining meds other than via a caregiver..

Now here is a kid who cant get treatment, with such failed system:

Bryan glad to hear you are standing your ground. Here is a video outlining 5 things to do when dealing with the police.

As we all sit here and speculate the wither-to's and the why-fors on this horrible event; we neglect the one thing that matters, making this law equal. I hope that this event does nothing less than galvanize the entire mmj community to rally behind this issue of equality.

That just makes my stomach turn. It's this time now when we all need to ban together. We have to be smart about it. It takes more than protesting and getting signatures. We need to vote someone in who knows.

Yah it's pretty crazy stuff... I hope that people can ban together ... but everyone seems to have different agendas.

I, on one hand, am confused as to how to act... I was one of AZCS' first sacrificial lambs... banned from their site for helping others find better alternatives for their medicine (I shed a lot of light on their high priced, low quality meds) I definitely have compassion first in mind when it comes to patients I have dealt with, which is where our major divide occured.

One of the complaints by the PHX pd is they were not operating under a not-for-profit model, which doesn't even sort of begin to surprise me.

On the other hand though, they did stand up for some things that I am in line with as well as have the balls to put themselves out there...

So, on one hand I want to support some of the things they do, but without the hidden agendas that exist. (Don't get me wrong, but almost everything and everyone in the Arizona MMJ industry has given off the hidden agenda vibe)

They did have high prices in the beginning, but toward the end they had comparable or lower prices than all the other clubs. They also were producing it themselves which can not be said for many other clubs. And they were run as a not for profit (which is not the same as nonprofit) , but they never yad to be because they were not a dispensary. Their main fault was their plant count. Over 99 plants is asking for trouble if you ask me and they had 900. Sometimes its hard not to he greedy, but you lose in the end. Its a shame what happened to them, especially the human suffering which is now a direct result of them getting busted.

Thats what it looks like to me. The fuzz took a hard look at the plant count and seeing how no employees were registered as " care givers"

Federal minimum sentencing. 5 years if more than 99 plants. Not worth fucking around. That's how growers stay off federal radar in all other Med states. And I highly suggest that's what growers do here.

so if i'm a patient and grow 12 plants, when i get to my 9th grow i'd have grown 108 plants and would be past the federal 99 plant count in 5 years...any patient growing legally in az is breaking federal laws even if they have ONE plant. These stupid laws need to be attacked just as hard as the feds have attacked this plant!!

no no no. this is not the law you must be caught with all of the plants at once or they must be able to prove at once and unless they have the physical plants that is very hard to do. even if they have pictures it is hard to prove plant numbers unless there are over 99 in one picture. here go read the laws they are all listed here:
http://www.justice.gov/dea/agency/penalties.htm
those guidelines are very clear. it say no less than 5 years for over 99 plants. when it say "not less than" thats when minimum sentencing kicks in and there is very little room for a deal unless they kick your charge down to the lower bracket for some "lucky" reason (rat aka alan sobol).
