Asking For Help On Instillation of PC Fans

I got 8 fans from pc and I am asking how I can wire these up to my electical out let or how it will be safe to wire them they are only 12 volts

Look for a 12v DC adaptor. Something like an Internet router power supply is usually 12vDC 1000mA.



You then need to check whether the mA of your 8 fans is greater than the mA your power supply can handle.


If you add all the mA of your fans together and it's still less than the power supply can handle you can wire them up in series.




Cut the adaptor end off the 12v supply and bare the wires. Do the same with the fans and attach to the supply. If your fans don't spin change the wires around.




Usually pc fans either have black and red wires or black yellow green blue.


Black and red wires are obviously positive and negative.


The black and yellow are the positive negative on the fans with 4 wires.
