I think im going to move my grow to the attic, I have heard people talk about how police have helicopters with little radar things to detect grows..Should this be a legit concern to me...only growing a couple plants for personal use..Why does this just apply to attics and not like the rest of the house. Thanks

Hey, bro, heat rises, that's why Infrared cams only apply to "hot attics". And like the Dr. said, they must obtain a warrant to look at your roof with that thing anyways(=$)! My 400w hps has NO heat signature,(thanks 2 a "cool" friend in law enfarcement) and it"s 24" away from the shingles!

yup dont sweat it unless your running bigger lights and then they will needa awarrant to ir your house and if they can get the warrant they already know what your doing or someone told and they just want more evidence for the case
The is one of the most ignorant things i have ever read in my life.
Flir cameras notice temperature differences of 1 tenth of a degree. There is no way to make your heat invisible. But i would not worry about helicopters finding your grow. It is rare that this happens and it is rare that cops get a warrant for this type of search.

just veg 18 on 6 off, start the lights at 6am turn off at midnight. that way you aint running lights in the middle of the night when the heli's usually do their runs and flower from six in the morning till 6 in the afternoon to avoid any suspicion. if i helped feel free to send me some rep, happy harvest
im no expert but attics can get real hot. Hot enough to kill a plant. If you only going to grow a few plants try this link. when I get my medical card Im going to try it.
