overview2.jpgoverview.jpgpurp.jpgbroke.jpgxmastree.jpgdankness monster.jpgOkay, I just wanted to get some feedback on these. The first two are just a far away general overview pic. The second is of my purp plant as I am calling it because of the purple stem. Now the fourth I have a question for. It's my buddies plant and he was trying to open up the branches so the middle of the plant can get more light. BUT, he accidently almost ripped it in half. As you can see, we tied strings to it to hold it together and it happened about a week ago, possibly two, and it hasn't died yet, but it seems to be a little more frail than normal. The fifth plant is a random strain that I'm calling Christmas Tree due to it resembling one. The last is mine. I was just curious if you can see how much I would get off of this plant. I know this description is a little vague and I've stated in other posts about the light schedule, ferts, and medium. Should they be closer to the light? I put them on 18/6 (light/darkness) for ferts I use Miracle Gro 24/8/16 which has been working great. I feed them every other watering. I use Miracle-Gro moisture control medium. I try to keep them within a foot of the lights. I don't really check on humidity or temp. I figured if it's warm for me when I walk in, they'll be fine. I also have a heater now that it's nearing time for winter. and I have two fans blowing on either side of the setup.

I don't understand this forum. How so many people can view posts and not have not even ONE sentence of advice or comments. I've had 19 views and no replys...out of ALL those people, no one figured they could loan a helpful hint or comment of what I should do different or how they look, etc.

plants look fairly healthy. But you need more light, the plants are stretching a lot. The lights should be about 3" from the plants or closer. Need some mylar or something else reflective around them also, you are losing a lot of light that the plants need.

and something else, when you switch to 12/12 to flower, those plants will at the very least double in height, most likely triple. Take that into account.

You should keep the bulbs of the lights in proximity to the very tops of the plants - just far enough away that you can adjust them when they are going to be touching. So within an inch or two if you check on them frequently... and at most keep them within a few inches even if you don't check them too frequently. You'll get more compact growth that way (they do look stretched and you are only going to get a decent amount of buds from the very, very tops as they are now). You could also LST down the highest plants to all be the same height as the shortest ones that are under the same lighting fixture (make an even canopy so they are all equally close to the light). Otherwise, they look healthy.

If you have some hobby time, you could get some panda film or mylar sheets and build a little PVC or wood frame enclosure to contain/reflect some lost light as well.

Not really, the ones that are in the old paint buckets are doing just fine and doesn't seem to have an effect on anything. Hell, they used to have tomato plants in them.

i know what you mean alot of times you try and search and it wont be able to find what your looking for anyway. i like when you say you saw a thread about this or that and then people ask you to search for it and find it and send them the link. its like sure i have nothing else better to do than search for the answer to your question. thats how you will learn. i am sure you find something else that might interest you and you will learn some more things

I'm not looking for someone to "look." for my answer. I'm looking for someone who knows what the hell they're talking about. Like I wouldn't take my car to get diagnosed by someone who worked at waffle house. Expertise is what I was looking for.

Lmao well now some people just don't get that you can research all day but you can also find myths and such that could have a negative affect I feel reading and cross referencing with expertise is a great idea.

I agree! I joined this group hoping that talking to real people would be of great help after searching and reading for a year and getting so many different answers... sigh... back to google I guess.
