Auto-Bomb + Auto Skunk

Hey guys,

So here I am now into my third season of outdoor growing. I have found that due to my region, auto flowers are the best way to go for a finished product. Otherwise the frost will take my girls before they have fully flowered (stupid late season day light hours).
So these girls are 2-4 weeks away from harvest (plant depending) and some early testing has shown some great smoke already.
This being my second season of auto-flowers I thought I'd pass on some advice. You can only top these girls once, soon as you get your fourth set of true leaves, they enter flowering so soon you cant do it any more. Fimming seems to be the way to go, with an average of 4 new growing heads instead of the two you get with a straight razor full on top.\
As soon as you top, get these ladies tied down. These plants love a little abuse, makes them grow so much better.
My dirt mix is a mixture of mushroom compost, home made compost, peatmoss, black earth and a little dolomite lime. I feed them bi-weekly with 20-20-20 during the short veg cycle (starting around the 3 week mark) and with 15-30-15 during the flowering stage. I usually allow for a two week flush with plain water before harvest, I find it cuts back on the fert flavor you can sometimes get in your smoke.
I'm not sure of exact weight yet, but I'm predicting close to a pound for my finished dried product, with 15 plants (two crop rotations). Last year I ended up with a half pound clean dried smoke with only 6 auto-flowers and one regular afghan kush.

So happy growing everyone. Let me know what you think.

They look nice but have you tried pruning the lower 3 sets of branches? I found it can increase
yield a bit. Last year I got 3.5 oz's ea. from some Think Different auto's (AK47 offshoot)

Ive never tried pruning the lower leaves. I guess the idea is that light hits the lower buds a little better? Ill have to give that a try on one of my plants during my next crop rotation.

Take the branches right off they steal energy from the top branches.
But do it before they start flowering.
