Auto flowers stunted?

I had a bunch of really awesome autos go to seed in 2015.

Since then ive tried several times to grow the seeds... The final product is still pretty awesome a lot like the original plants but they are extemely dwarfed.

Like 4-5 inches tall full flower, harvest time.

What factors could cause this? Could the seeds be too old and if so how would one invigourate them?

Hey Trippy.

I've been growing Autos for some time now..Autos can be super sensitive to any change..particularly transplanting. I once had a Green Crack Auto turn out that way..like one big 7 inch bud..

Plant them in the pot you intend to finish them in..your need to keep the light on for at least 20 hrs a day..some even recommend 24 hours until they start to flower..This is your chance to build structure on your plants..As they grow, use string and wires to low stress train and maximize the exposure of those little solar panels..I generally don't top them but will selectively pinch off the odd leaf to open the canopy..

And like always genetics are important..look for Super Autos.Fastbuds.Tangiematic and GG4 have worked well for me..flowering delayed to 5 weeks give or take..

question.....

i have a pair of Purple Kush Autoflower from I49 seedbank. The plants have done great, they were planted from seeds September 1 and today they are "tall" and i see the pistols, but i dont know if these are going into flower or not...is there a trick or how do i know these are actually auto flower plants? the other (10) plants i have just went into flower last night...The Purple Kush plants are about 6" taller than all the rest, California orange, white widow and girl scout...but there is no difference in them leaning towards flowering...so am i doing something wrong, or what is the trick to make sure they flower...? Thanks
