Auto strain question

so I’ve got a Jack Herer auto which is on about day 6 now , second set of leaves starting to come out , the question is , do auto flowers grow faster then normal photo strains or is it just that they will grow and flower regardless of the lights? Cors I am under the impression they should be boosting ? Maybe I’m just being impatient

Life span of an auto is 8-10 weeks on average from seed to harvest. More light the better. I blast them from 1 week on with the 600 24/7.

In a couple weeks they will take off. Don’t mess with them much. Average height is in the 1.5-3 foot range.

Have you tried 18/6, 20/4 etc and did you notice any difference in yield? Just wondering as I currently grow autos under a constant 18/6. I'm running six home built LED rigs each about equiv to an HLG550 (built with samsung lm301bs) and thinking about upping the lighting hours to squeeze a bit more out of the girls, just a bit worried about losing a huge grow if they don't like longer hours.

IMO 18/6 is cheating the plant of light. They only live so long, bud up and die. I have been running autos nonstop for 10 years with the light on 24/7. 600hps. In those ten years, I have run hundreds of plants of all kinds of strains. Only issues I come across more frequently than not are big hard stinky buds.

You could save money by going 20/4. Get about the same results as 24/0. I’m just too lazy to turn it off.

18/6 20/4 24/0 19/5 21/3 22/2

They all work. 20/4 is really the magic number for autos IMO.

Agh just been around been growing a lot recently just never needed to post anything did my first little breeding of Aymi and high school sweet heart , this time I’m prepping for a run of Purple Moby Dick by dinafem and the ultimate by Dutch passion and some Jack hair and amnesia autos as well so been busy but trying to change my grow style with using amended coco instead of amended dirt
