Autoflower or???

Hi so i have this plant outside im just curios is it an autoflower or what? It's so tiny and its 2 and a half months old?

Auto's can grow large so it's size isn't really a tell. If you are not someplace where the days are getting much shorter than it would have to be an auto or it wouldn't be budding.

California southern part days are still light out more than 12 hours?

12/12 doesnt apply to outdoor growing. Anything really under 14.5 hours of light will start budding.
