I have had two crops of autos so far, and I have found that the best way to do it is to run the lights 20/4 or 18/6. You can use cfls, I do, but make sure you start out with daylight cfls for the veg period and then add soft white when it starts to flower. I've heard a 2:1 ratio is the best way to go for each stage. You can run them 24/0 if you want, but keep in mind that the plants do alot of their growing in the dark so its good to give them a little rest. Also, transplanting is not really usually advised, so start them in the pot that they will finish in. Also, DONT change your light schedule if you don't have to. If you are running 18/6 for veg, then run 18/6 for flower. Autos are supposed to do their thing all on their own so the only thing you want to do is make sure they have the lights and nutes available to use. I didnt bother with a veg nute because the veg time is so short, but I did use Tiger Bloom once they started showing hairs. Hope this helps! I have some info on my first run with autos on my thread if you want to check it out.
