so i germinated big bang auto and auto assasin on may 31. i planted big bang on june 1 and the assassin on the 2.
the big bang is in a 4 gallon pot it is almost dry now i havent watered it at all since the first time i planted the seed.
the assassin is on a 2.5gallon pot and it is pretty much dry also havent watered yet either.
am i doing something wrong? my bagseed is growing faster then theese im under a 600w mh/hps dimmable ballast running at 250w.
they are about 1foot or so away from them.
my temps are at 72-74. I also poked some holes on the outer edge of soil to dry it out quicker. i planted them in such a big pot because i heard autos do not respond well to it transplants.

NO NO NO! the pot is too big for those lil plants! the root system is currently 1 or two strands and only like 2 inches long at most! your pot may be moist but the root zone is dry! she has enough water to stay alive but not enough to grow! give her 2 tablespoons of water right at the base of her stem every morning before the light turns on, and she will start growing. NO FERTILIZERS! upshot is it will be hard to overwater unless you soak that whole pot, downside is youre at risk of Damping Off which is not as fun as it sounds. two tablespoons of water every morning right before the lights come on, also you could leave the lights on 24/7 to let her grow all the time. Jorge Cervantes says that gives an extra 30% growth, and he is pretty sharp on that shit.

calcium enriched clay wont hurt your plants. the green color is a dye to make it look pretty, and i see shitloads of sticks twigs and bark. that potting mix is probably not too different from most half composted potting mixes except it claims to have humus, compost and sphagnum moss in it. it wont be worse than a moderate quality potting mix, but always remember this:

Soil should be smooth and fine textured, with no twigs, sticks, bark or other large bits of material you can recognize as plant parts! It should not smell like sawdust, wood or a lumber yard. It should smell like dirt, earthy and rich.

use dirt that looks like that and youll not go wrong.
