Hello folks just noticed a buch of my autos have turned hermie this am I'll give you some background

3 1000w hps
24 plants
Room was 15x15 very crowded

My light cycle is 24 hours except 1 light always Goes off to keep temperatures steady around 78-80 degrees

Not sure if it was the strain.. Can to many plants cause stress? I think it's because I moved them around a lot to navigate through the room?? I've been at it for almost a year never had this happen my humidity has gone from 40% to 60-65

Hello. Since you have some experience, chances are it's genetic. All cannabis is quite capable of hermaphrodism. Even good breeders, or historically reliable strains have bad genotypes/phenotypes amongst their seeds. If you only harvest autos, meaning that you don't engage in cloning, you're always taking that gamble of nurturing less than ideal specimens.

I won't bash auto strains, but why do you grow them?

I'm guessing it was a stress from moving/roughing them up. Maybe do a bit less. If you have so many that you can't be gentle, you have too many or too small a space.

Did you change anything with your growing style/technique? Light leaks? Different breeder? Or just a bad batch.

Thanks for your help guys. I'm going to stick with my normal genetics instead of switching it like i did. Also I chopped all the hermies so I'm hoping the room gives the plants less stress

@Punk it's what I started with as of now I only have one room I do a 3 a week cycle and I'm getting huge yeild off some strains in 9-10 weeks
