Automatic scrog with acrylic?

Hi folks,

I have a perpertual harvest consisting of 2 tents, one for veg and one for flowering,
Thing is, everything is automated except of the tucking part (I have one plant per tent, so scrog is a must).

The problem is while vegging I have to go and tuck every other day.

I was thinking of setting up a acrylic layer to avoid the plant passing through the net holes, this way the plant would fill the canopy without my intervention at all

What do you think?

Really bad idea but I see where your idea came from.

The screen does more than spread the plant it also gives support. The acrylic would also cause mold where it touches the plant.

Sorry, its 100% dont try it, from me.

Support is not a concern, the veg tent has one scrog net only for increasing canopy

In flower tent, i use other scrog net for support and I allow the stems passing through the holes

I see the point of mold, maybe with a good ventilation system I can avoid it

You want to be fully automated as in they train themselves also? I think it would be best to be a little hands on so you can get some good time looking the plants over for issues.

I do like the concept. If you think it is worth the risk, go for it. I personally think it would cause issues, the plants would not focus on rerouting/spreading out like it would be able to with training it. The plant would keep shooting toward the light, cramming into the acrylic.

in theory thats an awesome Idea. However. run a test and see if it works.
im curious to see if wit would work.
maybe if you remove the acrylic once you flip to flower and tie it up to support the flower weight.
idk test that shit and post some pics bro
:peace:
