Avoid HEAT detection SHED GROWIN Qs. NEED ANSWERIN pls help

ello every1,

can you help got a shed in the garden in the countryside, fields behind house, high fence so just one neighbour each side..shed 10x12, made of wood no windows..got elec, was gona fibre glass the walls, roof etc is there any better ways to achieve insulation to avoid the heat detection?

Is ventalation gona be a problem?
how to avoid heat detection?
r cold nights gona be a propb in uk if lites on during the day?
3x 400 wt lites will electric board be notified by power increase?

also how many plants can still equal personal in uk..does that include mother plants/ clones etc and if you do a sea of green with clones does each one count as a plant against you.

1) you always want proper ventilation so your plant gets fresh air and the co2 replenishes. get some fans for inside and maybe an intake fan and exhaust fan.
2) im not sure how to avoid heat detection. the equip the gov got is pretty sophisticated. i would probably just insulate the shit out of your shed, something with a high R value. they also got some cheap spray-on insulation here in the us thats pretty effective, dont know about uk.
3) cold nights will be a prob even if its hot during the day cuz your lights will be off. if you insulate your shed good enough you might be able to keep the heat trapped inside and nighttime temps might be fine. if not get a cheap space heater, just point it away from the plants.
4)that probably wouldn't be enough to really notice. also as has been said b4, electric companies are in the business of making money. the more electricity you use the happier they will be. just pay your bill on time, don't steal electricity and keep your mouth shut in regards to your grow and you should be fine.

if i've made a mistake anywhere someone please correct me.
to op: im from the us and giving my advice as such. im not aware of how things work in uk so take my advice cautiously.

Ok first off, 3x400 watt lights is not going to warrant anyone's attention, not the FLIR toting cops in helicopters, not the power company. You are being cautious I understand that, but you are also being a bit paranoid too. When you have thousand pound electrical bills and are using in the neighborhood of 20,000 watts then you can worry. Your grow is too small for anyone but a neighbor to notice.

if you wanna avoid heat detection, your going to need to find out what type of blanket that illegal immigrants use when they jump the boarder. they bust them out when they see the choppers flying at night, and cover themselves in it, so the cops cant spot their body heat signatures with their infrared sensors. Thats not a joke neither, those blankets really exsist.

i dont know what their called, but you need to get yourself a shitload of those, and line your entire inside of your shed with them. and then set up your grow. the one problem that would arise would probably be that since your going to be ventilating your growroom anyway, it might not matter what kind of measures you take to prevent heat detection, because of all the hot air thats gonna be released from the shed to the outdoors.

now, the above post is correct, the small amount of lighting your going to be using isnt going to set off anyones alarms, but erring on the side of safety is always better than getting caught and going to jail. i wish i had some better advice for you bro, but those blankets are your best bet. Im sure there are ways around the whole ventilation problem - but you MIGHT become one giant fire hazard with blankets completely covering the walls n ceiling of your shed, lol.

What happens to the warm/hot air coming out of the shed???

Would that not be picked up by the flying pigs???

Also if you warm the shed in the night which would be preferable in the uk wouldnt the shed also be detected by said flying menace.

Im asking cos Ive got an enormous garage I cpuld use myself but have always been too worried to, in particular to warm air escaping via my vent fan.

you have to get thermal insulated mylar leave space between walls of shed and roof so air can circulate only prob is extracting hot air i no people who got caution im in england with 25 plants some were cuttings best to stay below 10 to be on safe side

You can pick up IR and FLIR resistant mylar at your local hydro shop by the roll. Last I bought it it was around 150 dollars a roll. But it's a smart investment and you only have to cover your ceiling in it so it goes a long way.

As far as hiding your ventilation heat signature, which they are trained to look for; You can pick up an air cooler and attach it. I heard of someone rigging one up to a outside thermomitor to match the outside temps. but don't ask me how.

My advice, covertly ask your local hydro store guy and he'll tell you what you need. Most of them get your drift without wanting to know to much. There not stupid, they know why they are in business. Just don't say anything about Marijuana and you'll be fine. IR sheilding mylar is not illegal anyway. But I do agree, you really have nothing to worry about with that kind of set-up unless they already suspect you.

Also, check your local laws. I know in my state it's unlawful for police to use FLIR cameras on private residences without a warrant. So, they have to suspect you first. Just keep quiet, you'll be fine. But it can't hurt to be overly cautious either.

that does bring peace to the mind..note about the air detection i wss goin to have my lites on 6am-6pm during the day to avoid detection as i reckon the choppers if any in the country would be out at night..

also how many 400 wt lights do you think i could get in a 10x12 flowering room without over doing it on my elec bill?

any more info is well appreciated especially if you have experience shed growing

depends how much you want to pay over your regular bill
a 400 watt on a 18/6 at $0.15 a kw, is about $19 a month

PS .does anyone know if fibre glassiing the wall/roof with maybe a 1cm thick sheeting..do the trick as 1)heat insulator at nite when lites off
2) stopping heat detetction from air patrol
