So I sprayed them with neem oil a couple days ago for mites, didn't dilute it fully or properly with enough soap turned the lights back on too soon. Burn EVERYWHERE. Been spraying em down with water and a little soap to help eliminate the oil. They are going to need watering in a few days. What should I do, feed or flush?? I know I'm going to have to wait this out a bit..They are growing, but all the new growth is burnt to hell. What to do next? Thanks

flush and water them like usual once a day or whatever because letting them dry up and wilt will just make them look worse (unless overwatering was causing the damage). trim off leaves or damaged parts of leaves maybe

Sorry that was really unclear, flush and water like usual?? Im not sure what that means sorry. I feed them when I water, so how can I flush and "water like usual" at the same time?? It was a neem spray problem not overwatering. Thats why Im unclear as to flush or not, it wasn't something in the soil that burned them but all the new growth coming out is really burnt.

I wouldn't flush. Misting the leaves and spraying soapy water was good. Some leaves may fall off or change colors over the next few days. Remove any dead tissue and try and preserve as much green tissue as possible. Don't go radical with feeding. Sick to what you know is safe and give it time to recover.

I would put them in the shower if you can, put the pot in a trash bag and make it water proof. Give a good rinse.

It is also useful to rinse off mites and mites eggs. What would be your objection MAJEK,
wet leaves?

Well I've never used neem before so I can't say, but I think it would do more harm than good. The force of the water is too strong it will damage the leaves. A spray bottle would work better in my opinion.

It is adjustable, we are talking infestation and chemical burn. Not a time to be leisurely

Did you fix the mite problem?

Did you fix the mite problem?

I ended up getting some hot shot so pest strips. They have worked in the past even though I know they are hazardous to make sure the mites go away for awhile. I will take down the strips when I go into flower when these girls recover as I know they release toxic chemicals but I have no choice here, this is a must success crop. I ended up flushing them with probably 10-15 gallons of water in each of em(they are in ten gal bags) and trimming off all the dead burnt material. Flushing has never done me harm before and this way I know they will need nutes next feeding assuming they cook through this water pretty quick. Added a drop of superthrive too. Here they are in the shower after flush, the leaves FEEL a little better I think. WHat do you guys think? Thanks for all your replies as I'm new here. Sucks to have your first post have to be about burnt plants but its great to know there are other gardners out there wanting to help

check out the RI thread about Quantum Apocalypse. you will never have to worry about properly mixing your neem and soap or spider mites again. probably one of the most useful products on the market. I ain't happy, feeling glad, got sunshine, in a bag. I'm usless but not for long the future is comin' on.

sorry Muffy, didn't realize I was informing an audience who had some one in it that grows plants without any resources(products). just trying to help.
