Bad plants. Need help.

Hi everyone!

I recently adopted few plants from a friend of mine. I made them a nice little area next to my actual growbox where I keep my autos. (btw this is my first grow operation :)) They are in poor condition. I didn't add any nutrients, only watered once and I don't know what type of soil they're in. Am I dealing with some kind of deficiency (calcium??) or is this an insect problem? I am a bit concerned, since they are next to my healthy autos behind plastic curtain (maybe I should just throw them away?x)). Any suggestions guys, cause I need some help here :/

Looks like a teen I got. Was thirps, gnats and calmag. Going back to basics fixed it for me. You're in soil so my experience is that it'll take about a week to see your improvements/fuckups.
If you're not seeing gnats or thirps then with proper nutrients new growth in a week will look good and eventually those bad leaves will be a thing of the past.

If you're a complete newb then do more searching; you're in soil you have time to answer your problems.

That's thrips...get Monterey Garden with spinosad....watch your autos or if you don't care to much, Chuck em...and start cleaning your tent....most likely your autos have them if there that close and been there for how long?

You silly boy.
Now thats out of the way you have spidermites because you bought a dope plant into your clean uncontaminated growroom from 'somewhere' outside the room.
Spider mites from another grow room are very hard to get rid of as they are immune to many treatments already and are survivors from re location, tough little bastards.

Ok guys Im gonna try to do something with it. In the future, when Im gonna be doing next grow operation, how do I prepare my grow room after this bug problem and how can I prevent such things?

Clean the living piss out of it.Make bleach your friend. Mix it bleach:water at 1:100 and wash everything twice with it. Flood areas you can't actually scrub.Vacuum with a high filtration unit with a HEPA filter. Leave No Pest strips hanging while you wait a week or two to start growing again. I advise against leaving them around growing plants. Others have no problem leaving them all around their grow.Another reason I don't buy pot from a guy named Joe.

Understand you should clean, wait and then repeat the cleaning/killing. Nothing really kills insect eggs or fungus spores. They both need to "hatch" and then return and kill those bastards too.If you are going to clean then do it right and clean for EVERYTHING! Including Powdery Mildew.

Well, I might be the odd man (knew that) out here, BUT after looking VERY, VERY closely for insects, I'll bet you don't find any. Those are just spots, not chew marks, I'll bet. I had a grow once that was in a close space with very high humidity and shit air circulation, and spots showed up that look a lot like yours. It was in hydro though, and I came to the conclusion that it was the humidity, with the possibility of the salts from the evaporation of the nutes making it worse. I'll bet it looks like someone sprayed the plant , right, like ALL over (insect infestation like that, and you KNOW you got bugs because they would be hopping on you, and giving you spots)
It is not a def in my opinion, so no bugs, no problem. What might be a good idea anyway, is to repot to a larger pot, if needed, and put them into your own soil mix (you'll feel better) Those spots look ugly, but really never affected my crop. With a good climate, all you new growth should be fine. That's my opinion. Good luck
