Bad Strain

Hi everyone. I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct place, so excuse me if I'm not - I'm new here.
The first time I smoked in my country, I didn't like it too much and it made me really anxious the following week after I smoked. So I decided maybe it's not for me. A month ago I was in Amsterdam, and the pot there felt great and I could smoke a lot without feeling bad. After Amsterdam, I went to Germany, and the weed I got there made me feel quite bad again. Then I returned to my country and the stuff here doesn't feel good either.

So far, I've concluded that "underground" weed makes me feel bad. anxious and unmotivated for the next week, while good weed in coffee shops feels good and has no effect whatsoever.
Looking at the bud i have right now, I can see it has short hairs on the leaves, but I can't really see trichomes like the strains in Amsterdam. Also, there are brown hairs. my friends here say it's good bud, but I know it doesn't feel really good to me.
So what's the difference? I'm considering quitting altogether, unless somebody has some nice insight about this.

what type of weed do you smoke in coffee shops...stativa or indicas? or hybrids?

Sativa strains will be more of a energetic/anxious high.
Where as a Indica will be more of a couch lock/stoned high.
When they are harvested makes a difference too.
Early harvest has more of a THC rush.
And later on (Amber Trichs) will be a more CBD stone. (Laid back and lazy)

I prefer a good Indica buzz.:leaf:

You sir a picky smoker! lol Shit don't matter to me as long as its weed and it gets me high all that matter, its all the same.

On the other hand yes then maybe smoking weed just isn't for you, But have you tried Hash? any Oils ?.. Honey Oil maybe? Theres lots of other ways to get consume and get the THC.

Maybe expirement with different strains man.. untill you find one that suits you.

Never had similar issues myself just maybe with TASTE or say the weed was bunk need 2/3 joints to get stoned. but never had a problem with the high itself.

I generally smoked all kinds in amsterdam. I started with amnesia haze, which wasn't my favorite tbh but did get me the most high and laughing. My favorite was jack herer or some indica strain they called Snow Heaven. I think it probably has to do with harvesting too early, because I'd imagine illegal dealers would try to harvest the earliest possible to maximize profit.

not really to the illegal dealers thing. what types of places are you smoking your "underground" weed. if youre in an uncomfortable setting it can be why .
IE: persons house, bar, club, ect

.... My opinion is: weed is a Mood Enhancer!

If you feel good weed makes you feel "Gooder"!

If you feel not so good....... Weed can make u sketched out, paranoid, distressed, anxious, nervous etc etc

(of course the strain an type can also play a part)

Make sure you are in the Good Feeling Zone with no worries before u chuff chuff chuff!

Illegal/legal doesn't factor into it. Commercial is what factors into it. If someone is growing weed for money, then they are trying to maximize profit whether they are selling it on the blackmarket or at coffee shops.

Are you smoking "dank" or "medicinal grade" when you are at home? Or do you only have access to regular Mexican type to smoke?

Also depends where the weed is coming from where is the dealer getting it from. When I was a kid my parents had a friend that was a cash cropper and he would spray a kinds of shit on his weed when it was in flower to get rid of bugs and mold, you could just be getting weed that is contaminated with pesticides if makes you feel bad for a week. I have gotten good shit and been green sick due to a low tolerance and trying to hang with friends that are heavy smokers but I don't feel bad for a week I always feel fine the next day.

Yeah my mood wasn't really the best... I guess because I've had bad experiences with weed in my country before. maybe I was a bit anxious prior to smoking. It didn't feel like I'm too stressed out while high, rather than a week afterwards.

I have a friend coming over to sleep in my house from abroad for like a week (: I guess the ultimate test would be to smoke before having sex, because I don't know anything more relaxing than sex.:lol:
