So I ran out of bought seeds and instead of spending loads of money, this time for a change, I decided to grow some bag seed, you know "for science".... ¦0)
The hope here was just to get some half decent smoke if I could! I have been growing for years so I want to see the difference in strength and yield and difficulty to grow etc!
So the smoke here in Ireland isn't great on the streets (90% of the time) I say that so you know the smoke I took the seeds out of was nothing mind blowing, but it was rather tasty blue cheese! It's all cash crops around here, the plants are never looked after properly in my opinion, so lets see if these seeds from OK weed, can grow some super smoke!?
I only got about 12 seeds from my quarter of cheese. Of these 12 I germinated 6. Happily 4 of these sprouted roots!!!! I'm already amazed! After a few weeks its clear to see differences in their genetics. The healthiest plant seemingly also the most sativa, and one plant having noticeably stumpy/slow growth. All good with me!
I began switching the light cycle to 12/12 for the plants individually as they each reached 1.5 feet, I was shocked to get 4 females!!!! Now I'm really amazed!! ¦0)
So they have been flowering away now, one for 8 weeks, one for 6 weeks and two for 4 weeks! hey are all maturing at different rates but are all really healthy. The 6 week one looks nearly done but the 8 week one looks like it has a few weeks left at least!! I cloned all 4 plants before flower as well just in case one turns out super! ¦0)
There is a strong lemon/citrus smell off 2 of the plants. Cant wait to see the end results!
