3maybe 4 weeks ago I switched 400w light to 12/12 to sex my 5 bagseed @ 30days old, within 2 weeks i was able to pull 3 males. I then switched lights back to 18/6 leaving in my hps the 2 moms seem to continue budding, why?
It's been about another 2weeks and I switched back to 12/12 to flower my OneStopSeedShop Skunk#1's wich are 35 days now and as big if not bigger then my bagseed fems.

Here are some pics, the 1'st 2 are my BS moms, the 3'rd is my skunk#1's@ 10days ago, and the 4'th is Nirvana's Jock Horror @ 29days....coments welcome!
Oh ya only 7 out of 10 skunks even germed the other 3 never even cracked,wtf...Nirvana's 6 of 6 Jocks threw a tap root within 24hrs,Yay!

your jock looks a little stunted for being that old. i have several right in that age and they are a lot bigger. maybe tomorrow i will try to post my first riu pics. havent ever done that before. you can compare them. i think the light switching had everything to do with that. otherwise your plants look pretty good.

Your plants look fine, they look to have normal growth rate too, dont get too caught up in the "Hermie" craze, people say everything will turn a plant hermie, even the little red lights on a power strip ,its simply not so,going from veg to bud to determine sex, then back to veg will not induce your plant to become a hermie,if it goes hermie it would have no matter what.

What will happen is that in between switching cycles your plants will grow very slowly,in some cases they will not do anything for a few weeks but no ill effects will come of it,its normal.

I have never heard of any strain flowering with anymore than 13-14 hours of light a day. Even a night light in your flowering room during there night cycle will fuck them all up. If anything they will get preflowers which are ussually confused by begginers as actual flowers, a plant that is switched from 12- 12 back to 18-6 or more will take as much as a week to completly revert back to vegatative growth

switching light cycles causes stress . stressed plants dont grow as well as unstressed plants and YES they can become hermies if you do this. your plants are stressed and wont be as good as they could have been

"CAN" is the key word here not ALWAYS as most people portray, ive done it way too many times with zero hermies after the process for me to ever believe thats its more than speculation without real evidence, out of allmost 40 plants in my last grow that were switched cycles not a single one went hermie, this is not the first time ive switched cycles either.

Can you or anybody else point me to some real evidence of switching cycles being a direct cause of hermaphroditism, because ive not been able to find anything more on the subject than speculation & the spreading of rumors.

I dont think it's a good idear... if you want a safe way to no your sex with out stressing your plants!!! your shoud take a clone with some rooting gel.. yes you have to wait 2 weeks to root but it's well worth the time!!! Then wateing for your plants to revive from sever shock and then it prone to mold and mites and not very strong to fite mold BLACK SPOTS ECT ..when i first stared growing i hade a plant that did not grow for 3 months B-CUZ I DID THATso its a lot safer for you plant just to take a clone and just wait 2 weeks then flower it.. Then you will see what sex it is... So hope you learned something good luck on your grow

so far I've had better luck rooting my clones after sexing the donner plant. It's almost as if the plants reach a more mature state allowing easier rooting, but i have tryed alot of different cloning methods. the best i've found is rockwool w/clonex and 1/4 strength bloom & micro nutes by EJ in a spray bottle. roots in 7-10days.but thank you for the reply on sexing.

how did the plants do in the pots together??
the clones are doing very well in one pot they are now taller then the mother and have almost caught up with her in bud size even tho they are 2 weeks behind her when they were put in flower.
