Bagseeds - worth the time and effort?

I am at a crossroads with my first grow, currently have 3 bagseeds and 3 dna genetics lemon skunks about 3 weeks into flower. I am trying to decide how to handle the 6 clones I took and which plants to keep.

I am wondering if anyone out there has grown some random bagseeds before and found a quality strain worthy of keeping as a mother. I have limited space, and small variety of feminized seeds purchased from seed banks that I am anxious to start (devil's harvest shoreline).

The bagseeds were started a few days before the real deal seeds arrived in the mail, and they all came out female.

I kind of need to decide now which plants to get ready for the next round of flowering. I am only interested in the highest quality possible, and if that is highly unlikely to be achieved with bagseeds, I am going to kill off the bagseed clones and start fresh with feminized seeds.

My understanding is the bagseeds most likely came from a hermie, which probably isn't the ideal genetics to keep alive as mothers. Is it worth the time and effort to keep the bagseeds going, or am I better off killing the bagseed clones and utilizing the space to sprout the seeds purchased from seedbanks? Anyone ever finish off a bagseed grow and think "I sure wish I saved a clone from that, that was great quality".

Any advice is much appreciated.

Most growers start with bag-seed so they do not waste any $$ on a "learning grow"...
and often are surprised with an awesome harvest of some of the best weed they've ever had!

Even if the weed you had was "so-so" the seeds from it could be really great genetics that just weren't grown well....

Optimize your conditions, make sure you really read up and learn about the plants ahead of time to avoid any issues... and you could have already found your 'favorite' strain... who knows!?

yea some bagseeds are def worth keepin....and im gona say "damn i wish i would saved a clone from my last bagseed grow"...i mean its not worth savin a bagseed that came from some shitty smoke IMO but if it was somr dank then def worth it hell a dank bagseed can and sometimes is better than a par or below par seed bank seed dont care what they say

As a first time grower I would continue the bag seed to perfect your craft, who knows as others said they might turn out to be damn good smoke.

Thanks, I know nothing about where the bagseeds came from, was given a few from a friend that has grown in the past and has seen a lot of products, he cannot remember where they came from, only that they came from something good and were worth holding on to.

Was worried one of them would have turned out spectacular and I'd have no way of reproducing it. I have other strains of seeds burning a hole in my pocket, dying to get them started, but not enough space to keep the bagseeds clones going along with new sprouts.

I guess patience is key, finish flowering the bagseeds and then decide.

Easter eggs! I have a bag seed strain I enjoy. Purple Nasty is what the bag was.

Absolutely know where you're comin' from I popped a few Mexican brick seeds a growin buddy passed off and later named Trev's haze they are 3 5 weeks in flower and seriously kicking ass lol but I have a big wishlist in my treasure box, there just isn't enough space. But since the Mexicans are already here i'm giving them a fair shot. I'd stick with the bag seed man, oh and remember take care of your ladies and they will take care of you ;)

Actually the last 4 plants I grew were from bagseed, and only one plant that I REALLY abused coughed up a few seeds.

Check out my thread on CFL/ bagseed that I just finished.
It smokes great, and actually I think it has the taste of the Cali stuff I used to get.

Im in a similar situation....one of the dispensaries I frequent that always has DANK bud had some seeds in their recent batch I got. I was actually stoked when he told me this because the bud was still good and I was planning on buying some of the same strains they use from the SAME seed company so I figured "hell ya, free seeds with my dank?"

But then I started thinking that unless each strain was grown in a separate room (HIGHLY unlikely I know) that I dont know what strain pollinated this seed that I have? Which would mean its not guaranteed to be the same genetics as I would if I ordered the seeds from the seed bank, right?

I still may pop a few of them anyway because theres not a single strain they have that is not FIRE and I may just end up with some awesome cross.
Thoughts?

Probably hermies. Happened to my first grow. Think about it what are the chances of all seed being female?
