basement grow using real sunlight????

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used mirrors and lens to bring enough light into a room to grow????
does that make the light unusable????
anyone know of this

You would have to build some sort of tracking device to follow the sun all day and in different seasons.
Be easier to plant them outside.

I often thought about using a "solartube" to add natural light to my indoor mix.
Would be interesting !

I imagine the light efficacy might die with enough reflection from multiple devices.

I'm sure a little, but I have been in several homes with these installed and they REALLY are bright and light up a dark area very well.
And the collector on the roof is usually not right over the room either, a lot of curves to its destination.

I could see it, not only would every surface inside my fridge reflect light, but would PRODUCE light !
Hhmmm..... if only I were younger, THAT would have been a cool project !!!
