BASIC questione

So all i want to know is if a carbon can filter was used for a grow and then laying around for 1 year without being used.The guy from the store sad its good for 3 grows so is it still good to use or must the carbon be replaced?
Any help is appreciated.

I would replace the carbon being that it is so cheap. I like to be safe. Good luck bro!

I replace the carbon after 1 year of constant use.

You only need to replace them after continuous use that would equal out to three grows.. I heard something like 12 months of use you should replace it.. save yourself some money and only attach it to your exaust when the plants start to stink, (when they are getting ready to flower/ flowering) and you can extend the life of your filter by 50%...


Although letting it sit , gravity could make the charcoal settle but who knows, im no expert..
