Bc Blondes Samsung 561 and Game Changers

Hello fellow RIU members and OG Seasoned Growers. I am new to this forum but have been on icmag back in the day... I just wanted to give some honest feedback on a recent purchase from BC Blondes.

I recently ordered 6 of the Samsung 561 ( 680 Real Watt Fixtures) for a collaborated medical grow and I am nothing shy of impressed by my experience with this company.

The order was very easy to place over the phone as I did but could be done online as well. I paid by credit card the process was effortless. My order arrived about 9 days after I placed it over the phone. It was discretely shipped by Canada post and was very well packaged.

The units are beautiful. There's very minimal assembly required simply screwing the rails onto the fixture takes about 5mins to set up the light and attach daisy chains. There are two power cords one for each 340watt led unit when you attach the 2 units together with the rails it definitely packs a punch and provides some seriously intense coverage over a 5 x 5 area.

The lights run very cool and are a steal at $1100-1200 plus tax and shipping.

Totally beats buying an HLG 550V1 or 550V2 (which only covers a 4 x 4 for flower ) for approx 1400cdn a unit and is solid. The fixture is heavy it weighs about 35lbs and also includes a dimmer switch.

I highly recommend BC Blondes they are great to deal with and are honest. The owner is not trying to rip off other med growers like these big led companies selling lights for 2000-2500 a piece let those lights stay collecting dust on the shelf.

I will also be putting in a pre-order for the BC Blondes Game Changer 680 Watt LEDs which have even more Samsung diodes and are even more light output than the Samsung 561 fixtures.

Kudos You Guys your product speaks for itself!

I looked at the 340 watt boards on their website and they remind me of the Meijiu 800 diode FOTOP boards just in nice packaging

Hey Kotobide I wasn't familiar with meijiu 800 fotop boards till you mentioned it. I do see similarities. Lots of diodes and very even bright footprint all around. Nice White Light pleasing to the eye. I have tried a few of the blurple and red led fixtures but I did really find that growth was slower under those fixtures

Psuagro ....why don't you like the name game changer? The lights surely are. Go look at ledgrowlightsdepot.com and you'll find over 20 led fuxutres in all types if price ranges and one unit in particular comes out with a very high useable light output and even spread and covers up to a 4.5x4.5ft for flower which is the hlg 550v2. The closest thing in a bigger size fixture is bcblondes game changer. Really is and is a steal at the price. Maybe the cob light wasn't up to oar to what is out now but the game changer you can't ask for a better deal

Maybe you and I have a different definition of "game changer"? ;)...………...I must have confused this with another thread, I could have sworn asking about Canadian led company options, not just BC blondes gear; my fault

enjoy your new lights grower

Nice to see bc not making stuffed "hot boxes" anymore ......also OP can look at par- horta , hand made cob fixtures in Canada

Edit..... hate the name game changer.
Guess you never saw any of my videos showing the heatsink and case temps of my old lights. 25-32C. I guess you like the old huge pin fin style heatsinks that run at 40-55C. To each their own.

A lot of people on here don't seem to grasp the difference between heat and temperature. 600 watts of heat is 600 wats of heat, regardless of the heatsink temperature. Two different heat sinks can dissipate that heat at different temperatures, but its still the exact same amount of heat energy going into the tent. The only caveat is that lower temps make the LED's a little more efficient (and longer lasting).
