BC KUSH genetics??? (grapefruit kush)

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I've been trying to dig up information on the pedigree of this strain but have had no success at determining what gene pool it originated from. Here was my adventure in the failed attempt to find out.

1.Searched the forum..... nothing
2.googled "BC KUSH" and 6 links down I found a forum where someone claims it is the same exact strain as grapefruit kush. O.O
3.The seedbank that sells grapefruit kush claims its strain on sale is rather a hybrid of BC kush with grapefruit kush, but has it named grapefruit kush strangely enough.

Thanks for your time. : D

There are so many 'kush' strains going around now that have no Kush in their genetics at all that I would think it may be hard info to hunt down. If I was going to call a new strain "xxxxkush" just for the sake of capitalizing on the new west coast hot-word, I would try to keep it's non-Kush ancestry a secret.

Just an opinion tho. For all I know this BC Kush may have come straight from the Himalayas.

Himalayas implies a hindu kush lineage whereas the breeder selling the "cross" of this strain and another grapefruit kush claims its hybrid is of afghani genetics by origin. Any more guesses? I honestly think it's just a stabilized fruity/sour pheno of either afghan #1 or native landrace afghan kush. This flies in the face of the sativa/indica percentage ratio labeled to describe the strain but thats my guess anyways. The low vigor in veg compared to other strains suggest there isn't much in the way of hybrid vigor for this strain.
