Bcuzz Kubz and perlite

First of all thank you all, I have gleaned excellent info on this website.

I am using bcuzz cubz as my grow medium in hydroponics. I want to germinate my seeds in the same container they will grow in.

The cubz have great air flow because of their shape, but because of that the seed would drop right through to the bottom.

I thought that I could put a small pile of perlite on the top of the cubz and put the seed in that and once it germinates it would just grow into the cubz.

Please let me know if you think this will work or if there is a major flaw etc. Thanks

I can't say whether it's a good or bad idea, but I can tell you that I always germinate before planting and I wouldn't do it any other way.
