Beautiful looking harvest but grassy unpleasant aroma

I just harvested some sour diesel and it looks amazing. This is my first grow but I followed every step perfectly and survived the flowering stage with great success. Now, I've been hanging them for about 5 days and they are getting crispy and I think they're ready to cure. Is it normal for them to smell somewhat grassy and somewhat unpleasant? They don't have that yummy taste that makes you want to spark up ASAP.
Will curing fix this? Is this common?

You know i was wondering this also..i buy some dank ass weed around here they sell em in 10 dollar dimes....and it smells so damn good....i neve got bud that smelled like the bud i grow in the beginning,like everyone cures

the longer you cure the better it will taste

Im at the same point as you but one thing i did notice while practicing is that flushing helps gets rid of some of the chemical smelle from any nutes... and then i put the plant sin for 3-4 days of darkness b4 cutting

Does the darkness really work? i read it makes they plump and make a buttload of rezon. i am a new grower havent tested it yet but i plan to next grow. i mess up this grow ended up with two sativas two indicas on male and one hermi, male and hermi were removed and killed off the site. but now all my plants are staggered one is gonna be done befor the other and cant flush b/c all roots are togther in a 6 3 inch cup home made hydro set. taste bad with no flush right? was thinking cut it out do my best not kill all the roots and stick in a bucket of water for a few days and keep changing water?

yea those smells should go when you cure dem buds...
Its all about getting the toxins and chlorophyl out of the buds, once they feel dry or the stems snap when you bend them then they are ready for curing..
burp dem everyday and they will get better and better!
