Bedroom Closet Grow Room Construction Questions

Alright guys so I think I really have an opportunity to do a grow closet right. Its a 8 foot tall 3 and half foot wide closet. The landlord is chill with anything construction wise so tell me the very best options for constructing the area.
I have a 300W VIPAR LED and a various amount of CFLs and a 4foot t12. 2 months ago I happened upon 3 plants someone was discarding so heres a picture of the closet. What would yall recommend? I've already flowered the 3 in the picture they turned out pretty ok smokeable nug. But I really want to do everything right this time around.

I plan on using ocean forest soil, and the fox farm nutes as well. Ive purchased a PH meter and acuright temp and humidity measurermajiggy. I think I've got all things covered besides ventilating the closet, and constructing/placement of plants and lights. Any general insight is GREATLY appreciated guys.

Check your lease best is to buy a used door,
4 inch passive inlet at the bottom and 2x 4inch or 1x 6" outlet at he top
for ease of use, use a hole saw attached to a drill
maybe rent one at home depot?

Nice clean setup in your closet. I don't see any in/out ventilation. Looks like your veging plants are sativa. Next round, you might do some fiming and/or topping...especially since your grow space is limited. Have you ever considered putting a tent in your closet? That way, not only is everything already cutout and flapped for ventilation and most importantly, you can take it with you when you leave and virtually no damage left behind. Thanks for sharing. Peace

I've definitely considered the tent route! I've also considered the 2x4 and panda paper method or just two by 4s as the walls are white. Would 2 holes at the top and bottom of the door with 4 inch fans in it work? Thanks guys. I'm definitely going to SCROG. Any advice or discussion on strain?! Thanks guys

You can get a 2x4 tent for under $50 with no work involved, but your choice. How are you planning on feeding the output air to the outside? On the strain selection, I love all the Bubblegum varieties. Peace:peace:

Just one fan for the out port will maintain negative pressure inside the grow space. A fan at the in port can cause positive pressure when you add a filter, causing some air to bypass the filter and stink the room up.

Nobody has recommended an intake fan. No benefit to an intake fan, or multiple fans for that matter. If I had 2 4" fans laying around I could duct them into a single filter if needed, but a single 6" will produce less noise for the same flow.

I want to drill 2 four inch holes on the top and bottom of my door one taking hot out one putting fresh in. Good idea? Also I'm thinking of getting another 600w marshydro to accompany my 300w. My closet is 8 feet tall 3 feet deep and 3 1/2 feet wide. Best option for for that amount of watts? How many plants?

Vostok did not recommend an intake fan as you suggested. If you're going to misquote people perhaps OP should be taking other people's advice.

As far as an intake fan, there's no efficiency difference in small areas between loading all the power on the outlet or splitting it between the inlet and the outlet. Trying to power the inlet can cause problems so why not just put the power up top? And if efficiency and/or noise is a concern, one fan is better than two. If there's some choice involved, get a bigger exhaust fan. Simple.

Best to buy a centrifugal fan, with a speed control knob.
Cheap inline booster fans are too weak, and the knob allows better temp controls.

Also, you said, "I plan on using ocean forest soil, and the fox farm nutes as well."
Thats a bad Idea, FFOF has enough nutrients in it, you will not need to add more, unless your plants look sick.

Sigh. Trying to power the inlet can cause problems. If you have a single or multiple fans pushing air out you know for a fact the pressure is negative. I did not imply that under any circumstance using two fans would be 'wrong' but that there is no reason why two fans would be better somehow than just one. A single fan delivering the desired CFM will be more efficient and quieter. If there are two 4" fans available, put them up top... same thing vostok said. I'm not guessing anyone else here is having a problem understanding that.

Peace.
