before harvest

so im 2 days away from cutting down the trees and heard somewhere that cutting the fan leaves 2 days before harvest helps with resin production along with turning off the lights for the last 2 days. i was wondering if anyone has done this and how it helped. ive heard of the turning the lights off thing but not the trimming them down before. i might of been a bit high when i saw it.

I have routinely had to keep finishing plants in the dark for 2-3 days simply for the sake of getting them out to put other plants in and\or not having time to trim. I cannot say empirically whether this does anything to enhance potency but it doesn't seem to hurt at all. As for removing the fan leaves days prior to harvest, there is something I might actually try it would make trimming easier later on.

The only thing I know is harvest in the dark (with a flash light) or right when the lights come on. That way the terpenes dont become volatile. You sill get a better smelling/tasting product. Happy Harvesting!
