What kind of light are you using? I'm assuming that your growing indoors seeing as you started this plant in the winter months. It's normal for the leaves buried deep in the middle, below the canopy, to yellow and fall off. The plant knows that they aren't getting enough light and "sacrifices" them to bring that leaves energy back into the plant to promote new (hopefully flower) growth. I'f you have the option of moving her outside, there is no light penetration better than the sun! 4 1/2 feet is quite tall, it's naturally going to have some leaves buried in there, I wouldn't worry about it as long as it's just a few leaves!

Thanks everyone! I really didn't do this right. Didn't even think the seed would sprout. Lighting is poor at best. I can't even tell you what it is. But now that I've gotten it this far and that it's legal here in Portland, time to get serious about all the lighting, nutrients, etc. I have a few more seeds. Lol Here is a pic.

Getting serious with the lighting is absolutely the way to go. More lumens = more medicine. As far as nutrients go, read through the Organic forums. Not bad for your first plant at all! My first grow was so upsetting I don't even tell people about it... I also recommend looking into the SCROG method of growing if your interested in growing inside. There is absorbent amount of great info on this site (and a little bad, do be careful). Spend a few afternoons reading here and you'll be a pro before your next grow.

I'm getting ready to move so the opportunity for natural sunlight will be there although still an indoor grow. Should I repot one more time before starting the flowering schedule? And as far as thirsty goes, I'm just not sure. It was looking droopy and according to many sites, could be over or under. Very confusing! And the leaves look kinda curled? Appreciate all the help I can get. Have a great eve!

IMHO...I would not re-pot
Yes, drooping can be either over or under watering....you need to figure which one you are.
If the weight of the pot/plant is light and the soil looks dry, then it likely needs water
If you can feel moisture when poking your finger one inch into the soil, then you are likely over watering

welcome to RIU and congratulations on your first grow. if your plan is to continue to flower her indoors even after you move, IMO i would definitely get her into flower ASAP. BTW, it looks like you've got some room in your pot, add some more soil to her. what are your plans on lights? good luck!

The pot is 14 in, not sure about lighting. I guess for now, since I'm short on funds, and not knowing if this is male or female, I'm just gonna continue with what I have. If it's even mildly successful, I'll do my research and start the next seeds right. This all started out by my son asking if I thought I could sprout/grow a seed. One of four he has. Speaking of which, he doesn't remember what strain they came from. What's the protocol in naming your bud?

good luck, it may get really tall, once in flower a sativa dominant strain can stretch really tall n ur already at 4ft..if u try again, id start flower at 1 ft tall or less to get a finish height of 3-4 ft..also u may want to trim some of the branches that arent getting light..

the top branches usually produce better than lower branches,but usually the light is best at the top of the plant..id keep the mh lamp above and light the side with cfl's, lower branches that dont recieve light will produce really small popcorn buds.or u can opt to cut them, but thats a debate here, some people are totally against that wile others use this method to produce better on main branches... your going to have 1 tall plant..you can only get better,live and learn, hope it goes well youll be a grower fr life..
