Beginning nutes for a beginner.

My 9 day olds are starting to yellow on the edges so I plan on starting the nutes tomorrow. Unfortunately, I dont have a ppm meter until my deadbeat roommate pays me back. So I want to be very careful about this.

Over the course of two weeks I planned on moving from a quarter the strength, to half, to the full recommended strength. If I planned on using the lucas formula and the seedling recommendation is 1/4 tsp for both micro and bloom should I change this to 1/4 tsp micro - 1/2 tsp bloom? Because the lucas formula is essentially twice the bloom to micro. Or should I stick with 1/4 until I reach veg then start implementing the 0-5-10

Last, though I'm a long way off. Approximately when does a plan switch over from seedling to vegetative?

Stay away from useing any bloom nutes, they will just go to waste. Stick with very low doses of veg nutes like you said. When you go 12/12 stick with the veg nutes until you see the flowers coming.

Thanks for the reply golden! So no bloom nutes at all until it flowers? Wouldn't that create a deficiency in phosphorous and some potassium? Or does the seedling/veg state do alright without?

Also, when I said the leaves are yellowing on the coty, it's really on only one of the two babies. Would giving a dose hurt the seedling that still is green?

They are so fragile right now you don't want to give them any nutes for say the first 3 weeks above ground.
What they need is just veg nutes in veg, all that flower nutes will just go to waste because the roots will not take it in. Also it will salt up your soil.
When you go 12/12 the roots at some point will quit taking up nitrogen. Normally means your plant is budded out and getting close to harvest.

Sorry for some confusion. This is actually a DWC setup. Thanks for the reply,, though, you're being very helpful. I gave them 4.5 ml of micro last night. They are setting in about 10 gallons of water. So that's about .09 tsp per gallon when the bottle suggest 1/4 tsp.

The leaves on one plant are yellowing. When I woke up after the nute feeding the very tips were browning just a little. I don't think it's nute burn, but perhaps algae. The box is pretty damn light tight, but I got some small leakage where the tubing enters. I'm setting aside another res tonight so I can flush tomorrow.
