Benghazi: The Real Libya Story Is No Story

. The e-mails in question contained nothing more than “raw” intelligence, uncorroborated and unverified, that often flows in after an event. Intelligence officials typically don’t deliver their assessments until they have “finished” reports based on multiple sources, and corroborated evidence, and Obama officials such as Rice certainly would not have been out in front of the TV cameras citing raw intelligence. And as the government’s most senior officials say, the Benghazi case has taken them a long time to finish. “People forget that a Palestinian group was the first to claim credit for 9/11,” the intelligence official said. “There was no message from the field in those first hectic days that would have eliminated questions or proven who was behind the attack.”

Poor sad conservatives the GOP played you.

Interestingly, even Romney seems to have grown a bit tired of the Benghazi story, as he indicated on Monday night when moderator Bob Schieffer made Libya question No. 1 in his final debate with President Obama and the GOP nominee basically ignored it.

So the video footage from the drone is "raw" intelligence as well?
Guys like fugus don't concern themselves with the truth, instead, they look for any and all ways to support and protect their agenda at all costs. Most fair minded Americans look for answers and want to get to the bottom of scandals like this, progressives like fungus, want to get past it!

I think our President, also, has made the mistake of thinking it is all politics all the time. They decided, Bush was all politics and just using war to get re-elected. So simple minded.

Obama is Dove and voted against everything he brags about now as Sky Killer. But, even with no military experience or governing experience, or even a solid claim of US citizenship, he finds himself as President. But, not of All the people, only of his partisans and handlers. He will be held to account as commander, just a Regan was, and Nixon.

And Kennedy, who almost got us all killed. Jack, who started the Cuban Missile crisis with his own decision. He moved the Jupiter missile
into Turkey and dared Khrushchev to "do something about it." He did. Russia won that. But, just like in Japan our history books are a bit different. Kennedy pulled those Jupiter weapons back. Quietly, to save face and lie to us. We backed down. Just check your history. Kennedy was to be held to account. Or maybe he was.

But, at least most Presidents drop the partisan ideology looks like he is leading the people. This guy, never talks to us, only gives speeches to the faithful. And most of what he said in the debates is just not true. Mitt was mostly right on and never bald faced in the lies. Our President is into semantic tap dance. But, he will be held to account as the Commander, not the politician.

More tap dance to cover the horror of indecision gone wrong

Thanks
So a group of 20 jihadis show up and attack a Consulate. You do know the difference between a consulate and a embassie...right?
And what do you think should of been done? It was over in minutes.
BTW what was the Libyan reaction to this attack?

In an effort to demonstrate that the al Qaeda-affiliated group reportedly behind the deadly attack on the US consulate in Benghazi does not represent the city's residents, many Libyans today took to the streets with signs of apology and support.
In photos posted online by Internet media outlet Libya Alhurra TV (Free Libya TV) and the Libyan Center for Documentation, citizens of Benghazi can be seen holding bilingual signs with anti-terror slogans such as "this does not represent us" and "no place for Qaeda within us."
Snapshots posted on Twitter show a similar solidarity demonstration taking place in Tripoli.
Libya's interim leader Mohammed Magarief said in a statement today that both the National Congress and the transitional government "condemn the criminal aggression," and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Over in minutes eh? nice
You are not scoring points using the bodies of dead americans

But Saturday also brought the news, from Foreign Policy'sJosh Rogin, that the document dump by Darrell Issa, the House Republican who oversaw a committee hearing on the attacks last week, had compromised the identities of Libyans working with the U.S. That is, that Republican opportunism has come at a real cost for people far beyond the realm of campaign trail gamesmanship. One suspects that if Romney takes another cut at this issue tonight, Obama will make this point as he calls Romney out.

The attackThe Benghazi assault consisted of two separate attacks, one on the consulate that began at 9:40 pm local time and a second one at about 4 am on a CIA facility (an "annex") about 1.2 miles away.[SUP][22][/SUP]
Ambassador Stevens, who was visiting Benghazi at the time, retired to his room at about 9 pm and about 40 minutes later gunfire and explosions were heard near the front gate. A Predator drone that was already performing Libyan surveillance missions was moved into position over the compound,[SUP][23][/SUP] which was protected by five diplomatic security agents and four Libyans who were members of a militia assisting the Libyan government.[SUP][22][/SUP] Large numbers of armed men shouting "Allah Akbar" stormed the compound from multiple directions[SUP][24][/SUP][SUP][25][/SUP] and entered the building occupied by the ambassador, but did not see him as he had retreated with a security agent, 31 year old David Ubben, to a "safe haven" behind a locked metal grill. Before leaving, however, the attackers poured diesel fuel in and around the building and set it on fire. The security agent, who later said he was unable to see more than three feet through the smoke, led the ambassador and information officer Sean Smith to an exterior window. Ubben exited through the window expecting the other two to follow but they did not.[SUP][22][/SUP]
A quick reaction force from the CIA annex arrived and attempted to secure the perimeter and locate the ambassador but were unable to find Stevens in the smoke-filled building. The team then decided to return to the annex with the survivors and Smith's body, which they did find. While en route back to the annex, the group's armored vehicle was hit by AK-47 rifle fire and hand grenades. The vehicle was able to make it to its destination with two flat tires, however.[SUP][22][/SUP]
At the annex, agents took up firing positions on the roof as the building came under small arms fire. 8 reinforcements from Tripoli had arrived when the facility was hit by mortars at about 4 am.[SUP][22][/SUP][SUP][23][/SUP] Ex-SEALS Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed by a mortar shell while operating their machine gun[SUP][23][/SUP] while Ubben suffered shrapnel injuries and several broken bones. According to Ubben's father, "The first [mortar] dropped 50 yards short and the next two were right on target."[SUP][26][/SUP]
At about 1 am the body of Ambassador Stevens was found by local citizens and taken to the Benghazi Medical Center. At the hospital Stevens was administered CPR for 90 minutes by Dr. Ziad Abu Zeid.[SUP][27][/SUP] According to Abu Zeid, Stevens died from asphyxiation caused by smoke inhalation. A 22-year-old freelance videographer, Fahd al-Bakoush, later published a video[SUP][28][/SUP] showing Libyans trying to extract the unconscious ambassador from a smoke-filled room.[SUP][29][/SUP][SUP][30][/SUP]
Abdel-Monem Al-Hurr, the spokesman for Libya's Supreme Security Committee, said roads leading to the Benghazi consulate compound were sealed off and Libyan state security forces had surrounded it.[SUP][31][/SUP]
The bodies were taken to Benina International Airport and flown to the capital, Tripoli, and scheduled to fly to a U.S. airbase in Germany. From Germany, the four bodies arrived at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, DC, where President Barack Obama and members of his cabinet held a ceremony in honor of those killed.
A U.S. Army commando unit was sent to Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily, Italy the night of the attack but did not deploy to Benghazi.[SUP][32][/SUP]
After the attack, all diplomatic staff were moved to the capital, Tripoli, with nonessential personnel to be flown out of Libya. Sensitive documents remained missing, including documents listing the names of Libyans working with the Americans, and documents relating to oil contracts.[SUP][33][/SUP]
[h=4][edit] Recovery of Ambassador Stevens[/h]A 22-year-old freelance videographer, Fahd al-Bakoush, later published a video[SUP][28][/SUP] showing Libyans trying to rescue U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens from a room filled with smoke at the attacked diplomatic mission[SUP][29][/SUP][SUP][30][/SUP] where he was found unconscious, which confirms reports that suggested the U.S. envoy died of asphyxiation after the building caught fire.[SUP][34][/SUP] Some of the Libyans who entered the compound tried to rescue Stevens after they found him lying alone on the floor in a dark smoke-filled room with a locked door accessible only by a window. According to U.S. officials, security personnel were separated from Stevens during the attack in the chaos of smoke and gunfire that ensued. A group of men pulled him out of the room through the window, and then placed on the courtyard's stone tile floor. The crowd cheered "God is Greatest" when Stevens was found to be alive. He was then rushed to the hospital in a private car as there were no ambulance to carry him.[SUP][35][/SUP] According to U.S. officials, amid the evacuation, Stevens and foreign service officer Sean Smith were inside the consulate with a regional security officer. They got separated in the smoke. The security officer and others went back in to try to find the two of them and found Smith dead. They pulled him out but flames and gunfire forced them to flee before they could find Stevens.
Seif Eddin Zoghbia was the general surgeon on duty at the Benghazi Medical Center when the ambassador was rushed in by strangers five hours later at around 1 a.m.[SUP][36][/SUP] For the next half hour, doctors and nurses tried to revive the body to no avail, said Zoghbia, adding that the ambassador died of asphyxiation and that there were no signs of trauma on his body. Dr. Ziad Abu Zeid later told The Associated Press that Stevens was nearly lifeless when he was brought by Libyans, Stevens had severe asphyxia from the smoke and that he tried for 90 minutes to resuscitate him with no success. Only later did security officials confirm he was an American and an ambassador. Stevens' body was later returned to U.S. custody.

Cheezus, I enjoy your copy/paste word salads as much as the next guy but you really should provide a link. You are in violation of copy write laws.

Just a friendly heads-up. No offense intended, it's not my laws.

It is full of links. And what are you even talking about? Copyrights are for commercial use. Don't quote law, how about? That is probably wikipedia from the annotation.

The dad of one of the SEALS that was killed is speaking up. Outrage. Pleas for help and no response. CIA told to stand down. Frozen in Fear of Failure.

Most are too lazy and pap feed to even try to figure out what happened. But, Congress knows. That matters.

This is where the hell's to pay for Danm Lies.

The simple question is
What kind of unamerican maggot would try to score politicial points on the unfortunate deaths of fellow americans?

How long did the attack on the consulate last? (minutes) how far away is sigonella naval air station from benghazi?

What makes me the most upset in this whole situation is that an American citizen was arrested in a effort for the admin to further their story that it was due to a video. When we all know now, thanks to the house, they already knew that was not the reason for the attack on our consulate. And yes consulates and embassy's are the same thing. Sovereign US land. Sick of hearing that from libs. Educate yourselves.
