morning(where applicable) all!

im basically brand new to autoflowers but not necessarily to growing in general.

i ordered my first batch of AF from Lowlife seeds on Attitude, the one i chose was the random mix (http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/lowlife-automatic-mix/prod_1512.html)

just got that to test the waters and see if i like it.

my plan is to have 2 bigger plants (ppp and the church) directly under my 400w hps and surround them with 5 autos in 3 gallon pots on a 20/4 light schedule.

as i said before i am new to autos and i am looking for reviews/experiences from people on their favorite or highest yield/potency on these strains and if its possible, a website on where to get 'em.

thanks

Autos are fun and fast! I have grown lowryder 2 successfully twice and got some very good weed out of'em...Tried some short stuff onyx and even though they didn't fair as well, the small nug I did get was some potent stuff....
Got my autos from dope-seeds.com....cheaper for the beans AND shipping too. They're a stand up supplier also....replaced some beans that didn't grow.
There's tons of info floating around on autos here on riu. Lots of opinions.....

I intend to keep growing a batch of autos perpetually as they are fast and the potency is good. the lowryder 2 has an 'up" kick to it and lasts.....I pollinated one fem in my first grow and got a bunch of seeds !!!! :weed:

how would you say the potency of a lowryder strain compares to its normal non-ruderalis counterpart? is it a big difference in potency or just a slight difference?

I'm honestly not a fan of auto strains. I've grown Ministry of Cannabis' "Little Angel" and the buds sucked and I have a lot of growing experience. I have seen some nice reports of the Lowryder grows tho. So I cant say anything negative about the Lowryder grows.

Being a medicinal user for ms and long time partaker of the herb, I've seen a long procession in the quest for "good stuff".... when I first came across lowryder 2 quality, I considered it as good as what I was using at that time which was sold as hydro ak-47...... sticky, stinky and definitely a stone couchlock total body buzz.... the lowryder was different as it had a good "up" kick with a good body buzz...very sticky and real strong smell...made sure to save the fine trim which is what I'm tokin' on now.... most of my friends considered lowryder 2 "top shelf" stuff and paid handsomely for it..... my fav thing about it is the quality high and that taste...that taste.... yeah, autos aren't gonna give you a huge yeild but what it does give is some quality weed. Worth it IMO.....

I too want to grow some blueberry strain but I read they are fairly sensitive to nutes etc.... but I'm gonna try out the lowlife mix of autos anyway....
BTW, just added some T5 to my small veg room and my current grow is taking off.
2 pineapple express, 2 dutchman pure skunk, 2 skunk A3, 5 lowryder 2 all looking good.
Good luck with your autos.

is it true that lowryders dont need a lot of light to perform efficiently? would 5 autos in 2 gal pots be ok under a 400w hps with cfl side lighting on 20/4?

On the lighting need, I kept mine under floros/cfl 24/0 til the last 4 weeks when I put them under 400 hps 12/12 as I was finishing up some "regulars" also. They finished on time but I do think the less lighting reduced yeild a bit. Lowryder 2 is a nice looking small plant with a big main cola and several satelites below. LST works well to help the lower buds.
I do my lr2 in 1 gal pots, have no idea about multiples in a larger container.....
may try that though....
I was lucky enough that an accidental pollination of a fem gave me seeds that I'm growing now....must have been pollinated by a hermie as all have been female so far!

awesome! lol sometimes when i harvest very good strains that i didnt clone, i hope for a self pollinated seed; atleast 1!

oh and i meant 5 autos in individual 2 gal pots. what was your yield for yours in a 1 gal under 400w hps?

Hi, I live in New Zealand and at the moment it's our summer. I bought ONYX from short stuff and my plants are booming from an outdoor grow. Onyx stretch but pack massive buds. I'm more than happy with onyx. From 10 seeds 8 germinated and six are females.

My yeild out of 1 gal pots was about 14-16 grams average....I had over-nuted and hurt'em at about 5 weeks old so I know that, along with 12/12 hurt my yeild. Growing for myself, that was ok.... This time around I'm using fox farms ocean soil and BMO nutes.

I do wish I could have grown the onyx...something just wasn't right apparently......and I got one pitiful plant out of 20 seeds.....but THAT one was some really stony stuff....
