Best hydro system for 1000 watt grow?

I moved some soil grown plants indoors under a new 1000 watt hps in a 6x6 room. Once they are done, I'd like to set up a hydro system for this area.

Can anyone suggest a great system for this area? I already have an ebb and flow tray with 800 watts in another room. I want a system that will flower the plants quickly and with a nice harvest. I want something that is not too difficult and not too expensive. Thanks!

i'll suggest DWC you can make it not expensive if your a DIY type. you can build your own buckets from wood and geomembrane or vineyl or epoxy paint, or you can buy iglou coolers for a bucket, make holes in the lid for netpots in the lid add an airpump airstones to it and your set up to go :) it's the simplest to run and fast growth rates. ebb&flow is also very good but needs more investment and work. one more thing, the 6x6 room is too big for 1Kw you should tighten it up to about 20sq.ft for 1K. just a thought, you can fit both rooms the 800w + 1000w in the 6x6 room

Thanks. I have a 4x4 ebb flow table under the 2 400 watt lights. I also just set up a DWC under another 400 hps in a separate area. DWC is unreal, but I don't know how often to change the solution. It's a pain to siphon out the solution and add new.

I bought the 1000 watt light out of necessity. Here is the link to explain what I mean: https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/352724-moved-greenhouse-1000-watt-hps.html

I am not going to run all these lights once I finish this 1000 watt harvest. I am just not sure how best to utilize the lights now. I have 3 400 watt Hps (one is switchable), a bank of florescents for clone/veg, and now the new big light. I have no idea what to do with all this!

Drainholes for DWC? You guys are over complicating what should be the easiest way to grow pot ever known to man. I use 3 gallon and 5 gallon buckets. They sell bucket lids that have net pots in them and fit the buckets perfectly. The first 3-4 weeks of flower I run the 3 gallon buckets and the last 4-5 weeks I run the 5 gallons. After week 4 1 good sized plant will have enough roots mass to fill up a 3 gallon bucket and suck it dry in a day.

Keep a few buckets in rotation. I did a res. change today. I had 2 plants in flower in 3 gallon buckets. I have 2 fresh 3 gallon buckets. I fill up the bucket, add the nutes, adjust the ph, and then swap the fresh bucket for the old bucket. I can easily change 6+ reservoirs in under an hour using this method.

i can change my res in minutes using a big drainhole, it empties 50gallons in less than 2 minutes all what i need then is to flush and refill, to me thats less effort and fuss than moving filled up buckets and swapping them but i use a single big res not multiple buckets. to each his own i guess:)

The dwc that I set up is in a 20 gallon tote, with 6 holes for net pots. I started the plants in one tote for vegging and then moved the top to another tote for flowering. It's just a pain to siphon all that water. Maybe I start them this way and veg them, then move them to individual 5 gallon buckets for flowering. That way I could move them around under the light easier, and it would be easier to change out the nutes. Hmmm....

flood and drain or also called ebb and flow but the very best is called an ebb n grow(it floods into buckets not a flood tray)
