Best Indoor Sativa

Best is a problematic word seeing how subjective all of this is. I have read that pure sativa's are not great indoors. I have only attempted hybrids (I think) so far. Looking for a recommendation for a great indoor sativa. Maybe a little info on the grow and why you like the strain etc. Thank you in advance.

I am a big fan of GG4. I know, its a hybrid, but it is dominant in Sativa.
Easy to clone.
Easy to grow.
Makes a LOT of fruit.

I routinely get 1.5 g per watt, or over two pounds per 1000 wt Gavita DE.

The only true heavy leaning sativa kush, SFV OG. I got a gal that I have had for over 20+ years, and don't keep her around for nothing, she simply is better than any of the heavy leaning sativa cuts I have been gifted or traded her for through the years! Anyhow, Cali Connection still sells SFV OG Kush in fem seed format and what they offer is a very stable, and its a heavy leaning sativa like mine, and her buds are super sugary, kicking out all kinds of trippy head banging fun, LoL!

:EDIT:

Here is a few pictures from today of a Cali Connection SFV OG @ 21 days into flower...

... I have read that pure sativas are not great indoors...
Because they require a lot of light, and vertical space to grow. And they have a narrow ideal temp window. And they can grow for a year. And they like to be rained upon, and that’s difficult to simulate indoors. I’ve grown pure Colombian red, Jamaican, and more recently Train Wreck, a Sativa dom hybrid from NorCal.
Sativa is slow with lower yield, but has a superior effect that cannot be ignored. It is worth the work and wait.
Allowing for lying about strain names, and more likely unintentional misinformation, very little of what is offered as Sativa truly is these days.
Durban South African is from the strain most frequently distributed in the early days of mass global circumnavigation, the 1700s. Sailors and slaves carried cannabis seeds from India, trading and dropping them along the way in many places that became iconic for quality bud: Jamaican and the Caribbean, Thailand and SE Asia, Hawaii, and of course South Africa.
Some say that what we call Indica originated in what is Afghanistan, and what we call Sativa is from India. And Native American hemp is the true Sativa. Who cares? It’s all good
Enjoy the history. Enjoy your harvest. Enjoy the now!

There is no "Best" indoor sativa.

There are too many factors to consider. Some take up to 24 months to flower while others finish in a shorter amount of time. I'm currently growing an Oldtimers Haze that can take up to 24 months but I've also grown Durban, Ciskei, and several others. I've recently acquired numerous landrace strains from The Real Seed Company. I haven't started any yet because I haven't figured out a game plan to grow them in a 4 x 4 tent. The problem with sativa's is they take so long that they won't finish outdoors where I am at. And they get so big that they're hard to manage indoors. Plus they're really finicky when growing in containers and with their long flowering times there is plenty of opportunity to screw them up.

ACE, Cannabiogen, The Real Seed Company have some good sativa genetics.

Fairly recent picture of an Oldtimers Haze at about ten weeks flowering with at least another 8 weeks to go. I hope I make it to the finish line. My last attempt growing this ended in failure. This one was started outside and got so tall I had to do some serious supercropping to fit it inside. With proper training early on you can grow any sativa indoors. But if you don't keep an eye on them they can get out of control.

The Blue Orca Haze can be extremely potent. You just have to grow a few to get what you want.

We have 2 phenos weve kept now for 3 years.

Its Menthol, Hash, Bubblegum, with a choke that will make you cough your head off every hit. Also very long lasting high. 3-4 hours.

Another pheno we kept is more NL5 oriented, and is more leafy, but still very potent, but terpenes are not as good as #1 pheno.
Buds are rock hard when properly dried, and a huge yield. But like I said, you have to grow a few of them as there is variation. But I guarantee they can be as potent as almost anything.

NL5 pheno looks more frosted, but Bubblegum pheno is more potent, and more sativa high, and smaller trichomes. But just as many trichs. Only smaller.

I thought this was about sativa's. Blue Orca Haze is not a pure sativa it'a a hybrid as is Blue Dream. Most anything with Blue in its name is going to be a cross with Blueberry which is a hybrid. I'm not knocking those strains at all. Just pointing out that they're not true sativa's. bongsmilie
