have a 4x4 tent in a big closet
I love the ac infinity product but would you use a carbon filter for intake as well?Ac Infinity
Oh all the time lol but no seriously ive heard to put filter on the intake and just trying to figure out what type of filterWhy carbon on intake too, as in two filters
Do u Fart a lot in the room it's in?
perhaps a horti-control dust shroom. i use one. works great.Oh all the time lol but no seriously ive heard to put filter on the intake and just trying to figure out what type of filter
A simple dust filter to keep your hood glass clean insideOh all the time lol but no seriously ive heard to put filter on the intake and just trying to figure out what type of filter
Oh ya, I should've mentioned that. Me too.perhaps a horti-control dust shroom. i use one.
How long does one of those last? I've never heard of them till now. Looks pretty sweet.perhaps a horti-control dust shroom. i use one.
You can wash and reuse themHow long does one of those last? I've never heard of them till now. Looks pretty sweet.
Best inline fan ever. Damn things never die. Move a ton of air. Like all centrifugal blowers they will be noisy, oversizing the fan and duct and running it at a slower speed can make them very quiet though. The big advantage to the VTX series (centrifugal) is they cope with static pressure much better than mixed flow fans. So you get more real world CFM when you have any restrictions like ductwork, bends, vents, carbon filters...Vortex VTX for the win.
That's exactly why I picked it. It had the best static pressure ratings. And I probably saw you recommend them, lol.Best inline fan ever. Damn things never die. Move a ton of air. Typically HID grows need to move more heat and they need the CFM so the centrifugal is the way to go. Many LED grows will be just fine with the lower real world CFM they get from a mixed flow fan. How much heat do you have to move and how cool is the intake air? If the ambient temps are really cool then you won't need as many CFM and of course if the ambient temperature is warm you won't be able to cool a HID grow. Also, don't forget humidity, especially when the lights are off.
The fan or filter?I noticed they're not as easy to find now.
The Vortex fans. Even the Growers House site seems to only have the 12" one.The fan or filter?
That sucks, well not really if you know what I mean. WTF. They have to be coming out with a more powerful one I would hope.Man I wish I had bought more of those 10 inchers when that site was selling them for less than the 4 inchers.
I did some looking and I see they have a VTX L model out now, less CFM. 497 down to 235. Never seen those before, maybe slower speed to be less noisy?

I think they still have the normal VTX series as it's still on the vortex site. I suspect they added the L version to provide a reduced noise/cfm option. Not like folks are going to want to buy a speed controller / variac when venting a basement for radon for example. That sucks, well not really if you know what I mean. WTF. i've had this one for 5 years or so and as renfro said you can rinse/wash them. How long does one of those last? I've never heard of them till now. Looks pretty sweet.
