Ditto. Lanky plants are fine outdoors but LST will give you a better canopy with shorter plants.

The best type of canopy is a flat and even one. If you have many plants shoved into a small space that can be harder to achieve flat, than if you only have a few of the same strain. Also the canopy doesnt have to be horizontal. It can be vertical if the light is on the sides or middle, or 360 degrees if you run bare bulb vert and have plants all around the light. The best part of growing is that you never stop learning and getting better.

If your using a 1000 watt then your not doing something right though because it doesn't even look like a oz dry on there, seems rather small and lanky, doesn't even look like you had a fan in there to strengthen her, just curious though hate you to be wasting energy if it isn't producing what it cost to grow, but you learn from your mistakes and if your next grow is better and yields more then your always improving, trust me after my few grows I learn new stuff all the time, even 20 years down the road if I'm not learning a thing or two then I'm not trying new or different things, there is no right or wrong way to grow!

The more experience you get the more i would suggest experimenting with lst or the one i would suggest is scrogg..
Read about it and try it its kinda easy..
You would quadruple ur yields..

Had two fans in room but couldn't control my temp was too hot half way through flowering stressed them bad lost a lot foresure but like u say always learning thx for tips man appreciate it

Once you learn to make that plant your bitch so to speak expect better yields. I am not sure how many plants you run under that light, but I run 6 plants under 2 600w hps and avg 3/4#-1.5# per harvest so far so abt 2-4oz per plant dry. Fimming,topping, lst, will help for sure. If you are investing the time and the plant count ( depending on where you live ) then making your plant give you the most is imperative imo

I also got 6 plants under 1000 w hps I got 8 oz dry off them but could of been way more I probably could've fed them a little more too but thx a lot dude

I've been getting 300-400 grams per plant why would I need to scrog and I have done it before, I will do a batch in my garage where I have a ton of space when it get's a little warmer..
