Best LED bulbs for brooder lamps?

I'm trying to keep up with the latest on LED lights but it keeps changing so fast my head never stops spinning. I currently have a smallish grow tent for starting and vegging seedlings and clones, and I'm lighting it with CFLs. But I'd like to start out using LEDs if possible to learn a thing or two before I decide if I want to replace my 400-watt HPS/MH that I use for flowering and production. So I'm just wondering if there are any LED "floodlight"-type grow bulbs worth a damn that I could put in two brooder lamps (cheap clamp lights). I want to make sure they'd give me enough light and that they would not get too hot for the cheap Walmart fixtures I'm using.

Itz near impossible to keep up...just develop a plan for your room...stick to it....jump in...and then catch the bug :)

If you are looking to replace hid bulbs in the future I would possibly look into building a 5000k dimmable cob with a good quality chip. It would be a fun learning experience and could turn into one hell of a veg light if turned up.
