best lighting for small clost grow?

i was reading about which lighting would be best to use for growing like 3 plants in a 3ft x 3ft x 5ft closet.. So far i think im gonna go with a vho gro-lux and a soft white. Any suggestions/ advice?

what about a 400 watt metal halide?

how bout a 400w switchable ballast....Sounds good to me. than you got both...An air cooled hood or cooltube could keep temps down for ya too if your worried bout heat.

yea id go 400w with switchable ballast and mh/hps bulbs and also go with the air cooled hood as it will lower temps and also means that if a bulb does break on you your plants arnt showered in burning hot pieces of glass which is useful for the fire safety side of things aswel
