I'm happy with the i-power bowl trimmer I have. Hand trim the tops and run the rest thru the machine.
It does beat the nugs up a bit but not bad. For the time it saves, its worth its weight in gold.

I used a bowl trimmer in my wet outdoor stuff this season and it actually worked pretty well. Not sure how it would work on dry flower. There is some simple bucket trimmers for dry flower I have seen on YouTube but never tried one

Actually the bowl trimmer is pretty easy to clean and doesn’t get gummed up much at all. Although I haven’t put lbs through it

just out of curiosity, how much are you guys yielding to justify buying a machine? Even when i have jars and jars i tell myself im just lazy for wanting one lol.

I grow about a maybe 16-20 ounces every four months and I want one. I hate trimming so bad.

I get lbs out of my outdoor and hand trim till I can’t take it anymore and a buddy moved away and gave me his bowl trimmer so I said heck with it I’m trying it and was pleasantly surprised how well it worked so next outdoor it’s all going through it.
My indoor gets hand trimmed just because it’s far better end product and way tighter nuggets and way less fan leaves compared to my outdoor so the indoor is far less trimming for me anyway

After my first outdoor harvest I knew I needed something to help. Took 3-4 us rotating in and out 10.5hrs to trim up a 1200g Fruity Pebbles plant. I have a wrist injury that required surgery 3 years back and trimming really wrecks it sometimes. I spent $2k on a TrimPro upright mechanical trimmer, and is a godsend for my wrist/time. Outdoor plants (usually 6-8 plants) I average about 1000-1200g in just buds, no stems for hang drying because I freeze dry my harvests. It does take away the prettiness of your buds (top buds I’ll hand trim) but it doesn’t do that bad of a job. Plus I can do an entire plant on my own from takedown, cut off buds, wash buds, trim buds in machine and place on trays for freeze drying in 2-3hrs.
