Best Reflector

Hi I am going to be vegging in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.8 tent and flowering in a 2m wide x 1.5 m deep x 1.5 m high tent and was wondering what the best reflectors for this space are, money is not a problem I would prefer to spend more for quality.

all depense, fist of all, what kind of light do you use ? Fluorescent or HID ? and will you grow vertical or horizontal ? do you want/need a cool tube or hood to control heat and keep the light close ?

parabolic refelctors should be some of the best to spread the light out evenly



cool hood are great if you need to control high temp. in a small space useing a big HID light



cool tubes is the "cheap" choice here



dont spread the light as good as the hood (I have been told)

The extra glas in front of the high intesity discharge, also lowers the lumenrange.

yea your right, the glass do block some of the light out, about 20% according to my light meter, but since you can lower it like 30-50% (depending on your ventilation aso) your Lumen will actually be bigger at the plants top (tho Par is what plants use, not Lumen)


I had to keep my light about 2 Ft. from my plants to start with



before I made a DIY cool hood for my poot light



no beauty I know, made it in 3 lunch breaks, but do the job, did lower my temps from +30C last summer to 24-26C and made me able to move the light down to 12-15 inch`s



witch give me atleast 10-20% stronger light at my canopy
